I cannot rave enough on the welcoming hospitality and friendliness i received on my booking over the phone and on my arrival. It is so well situated to the town, the room spotless and the self service breakfast was of excellent quality. I will definitely be going there again.

An exemplary hospitality experience. Easy booking, warm welcome, a clean, attractive and quiet house and real coffee for breakfast. The marmalade might even have been home-made into the bargain.

Super comfortable B&B in welcoming home
We had such a great night's stay I felt compelled to write and recommend this lovely B&B and welcoming hostess.
Our twin room was perfect with a gorgeous view over a tranquil garden.
The beds were so comfortable and lovely pillows that it felt just like being at home. The room was very spacious and had a seating area, and tea and coffee facilities with great choice of herbal teas, hot chocolate and a cookie jar.
Clean bathroom, fast wifi, hair dryer, and our hostess realising we were from Europe, even kindly put an adaptor for the power sockets in the room for us.
Breakfast was great. Judith lays everything out and there are cold cuts and milk and juice in the fridge to help yourself. You make your own hot toast and the coffee machine is all ready and you just have to push the button for fresh brewed coffee. So much nicer than a greasy fry up!
Great selection of cereals, jams, homemade marmalade and other spreads.
We felt like we were staying with good friends and I would definitely return again next time I am in Guildford.

Had a great stay here. Lovely home from home. Well decorated, kind reassuring welcome, very polite and kind host, ensured I was happy, and confident. Breakfast is straightforward, with fair choices - you can just get on with it and eat well, from a range of items, and the filter coffee was delicious - a highlight as coffee can often be disappointing. All facility's clean, and an easy walk to city centre / train station / university all of which I visited.

I was made to feel most welcome.
The accommodation was extremely comfortable and clean and the atmosphere relaxed.
I enjoyed being able to prepare and eat my breakfast at a time that suited me.
Would recommend the Patcham to anyone wanting to stay in Guildford. Very central location, within easy reach of the town centre, buses and lovely walks. The free car parking and wi fi was great asset.

This is the second time I have stayed in this B&B and in the same twin en suite. I find Judith, the owner, charming and helpful. The usual B&B tea and coffee tray had several fruit teas and a tub of hot chocolate. There was also a jar of several nice biscuits. The bed was comfy and all amenities available, TV, hairdryer and even a back massager in the shower room! For breakfast, again, there was a large variety of choice, bread/toast, chocolate spread, honey, marmalade etc plus ham and cheese in the fridge. Quite a lovely way to start the day.

If you are looking for comfortable, homely and welcoming, I’d recommend booking Patcham. Just a short walk to the rail station or town. Will be my first choice if I am in Guildford again.
