Stayed in the hotel last night. Rooms have recently been done up, to a high standard. Everything is very clean. The room I stayed in was very spacious and well appointed. Two minor things about the room that were slight negatives- the shower was very small, and the curtains don’t seem to fit the windows very well, and could be thicker…. Leading to a lot of light coming in early. Minor issues really.
But the best thing by far is the excellent food by Tom the lovely Portuguese chef. I had the most amazing pork belly- amongst the best meals ever! I highly recommend it. And Tom baked his own focaccia yesterday and gave it as a complimentary starter…. Yummy. And it’s so nice that he came out personally to serve the meals- he’s clearly proud of what he does and should be! Good service as well from the team. A great place to stay and eat!

Food was overpriced for what we got, not made aware of set menu for Sunday lunch. No poultry on offer just red meat.
Was not impressed where we were seated felt we were just put together with no proper table just 4 pub tables put together
Won't go back or recommend either.

Stayed two nights and room was modern and comfortable. The food at breakfast and evening was of high quality. The dinning room had a good ambience and the staff were friendly and efficient. The village was peaceful and pretty

We had a chicken baguette and a cheese and pickle on and loved it, so much we came back for a Sunday dinner.... Superb, didn't want it to end. Only gripe is we had the chocolate browny and sticky toffee pudding (both incredible) but we were charged extra as we didn't pay at the same time as the main meal...... Was told the till won't let them do it for the same price as the fixed menu!!! 4 * due to this....

Visited following a very wet walk. Very welcoming, great beer. Didn't try the food but very envious of others who were eating. Looked extremely good

Lovely meal with very good friends, place wasn't busy but it was Thursday tea time so service was very good & food was fresh, highly recommend.

Went tonight as a gift. Service was 5 star, everyone was attentive and polite.
Unfortunately, food was poor. Steak and Ale pie, 3 of us had, was a very poor quality of meat. Had the same meal in April last year, was gorgeous.

Best lamb shank I ever tasted in the restaurant. Chef Thomas is an absolute cuisine artist. Highly recommend
