Had a wonderful two night stay in this lovely guest house. We had a warm welcome from Caroline and Mike, who could not have done more to make our stay so enjoyable. Our room, The Stable, was very clean, comfortable and spacious. The guest house is in an ideal location for anyone wanting to explore this area of Wales and for walkers and bird watchers. We decided to eat in and enjoyed very delicious home cooked food. This will be our first choice of accommodation in this area when we return.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a quiet and peaceful break and we were not disappointed. Out in the countryside, you are surrounded by beautiful green fields (and a few sheep!), and the mountains are only a short drive away. Mike and Caroline are the perfect hosts - serving great food, providing clean rooms, and they are only too happy to help you with any questions you might have about the area (walks and places you can eat out etc). Would definitely stay here again if we get a chance.

Stayed two nights arriving Friday afternoon till Sunday. Had a warm welcome waiting for us followed by a quick tour of the house. The location is stunning and the bed room was surprisingly big with high seilings and nicely presented. Lots of choice for breakfast and the owners allowed me to change and swap items on the menu, which is always a bonus. It was a great weekend break and I would definitely come back again.

We're just on our way home from having stayed a couple of nights at this beautiful guest house and I'm so sad to have left it! I can't emphasise enough how lovely it was to stay in this gorgeous part of the world in the hands of Caroline and Mike, the owners. There was just so much attention to detail and added value in every aspect. We stayed in the Hayloft which was well appointed and had everything we could possibly want, including mini toiletries, kettle and various hot drink options, a couple of slices of lovely fruit cake (cake was even replenished the following day!) and two decent fans as the weather was very warm. Breakfast was home cooked and delicious (a choice of traditional full English or smoked salmon and scrambled eggs), with an option to also have a lovely freshly made fruit salad to start, toast with a selection of home made jams, and the usual options (yogurt, fruit juices etc). There were two huge maps in the dining room that had been overlayed in parts with photos of various points of interest - a great talking point, particularly if, like us, you were interested in seeing other parts of the Brecon Beacons nearby. We only had to mention the fact that we were interested in a walk and Caroline had pulled various maps and instructions out to talk us through some options - before we knew it we were off on a 10 mile hike with a packed lunch and several laminated guides! I could go on and on but I'll try and wind this up - the guest house is surrounded by sheep fields and even has 9 sheep of it's own (kept as pets), bring a bike or good walking boots if you want to get anywhere without a car, there are local take aways that will deliver for a £3 charge, and The Red Lion pub 2 miles away is well worth a visit for food (do book!). Can't wait to return to this lovely place, thanks C & M.

The most amazing place to stay! Food was outstanding, Caroline and Micheal were exemplary hosts!! The food was divine, beds comfy and so many wonderful personal touches. The stay here made our weekend in Wales out of this world. I highly recommend a stay it’s good for your soul.

Beautifully quiet. Lovely very helpful hosts, comfortable rooms.
I came to this as a base for walking in the Beacons, and made the right choice!
Every intention to return when to to walk again.
And don't forget to stock up with the first class homemade jams when you go!

This is a really charming and attractive location. Well maintained, clean, comfortable beds with good attention to detail. Lovely cake!
Good local walking advice, great walks within a short drive. (4 waterfalls + pen y fan). Very nice gardens good for pitter pottering.
A good well furnished lounge for relaxing / playing games
Reliable good standard breakfast - we liked the fresh fruit and attentive service

Incredible stay at this rare gem!! My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights over the bank holiday weekend and loved every minute. The property is just gorgeous - it is so quiet and peaceful, while being close enough to town to pop over to the local pub (The Red Lion - make bookings in advance!) or the grocery store. There is a shared mini-fridge that is perfect for storing snacks + drinks. The breakfasts were delicious (you get a choice of a few different options) and we even arranged to have dinner there one night (the chili is incredible).

We stayed in the Cornerstone Room and it was perfect - the bed was incredibly comfortable, the room was spacious, and everything was immaculately clean. We woke up to the sounds of the stream each morning and took a little walk around the property as well as on the public footpath just down the lane. It is super close to both Pen y Fan (10 minute drive) and a gorgeous waterfall walk (15 min drive) - I would recommend getting to both early, as it can get crowded in the afternoon.

If this is available, book it!!!! I couldn't recommend it more.

Thank you so much, Mike and Caroline!
