The Cottage Inn

We stopped here for food on the way home after a busy day. There were four of us and each one of us had a different meal. They did not disappoint. Amazing food, great prices and a lovely atmosphere. I fully recommend this pub and we’ll definitely be returning. A gem on the A40.

Stopped by for a few drinks and had a warm welcome by the new owners. Good selection of draft beers and ciders and the food looks great too. Good to see this lovely old pub back up and running.

Gorgeous location. Met with smiles every time from the new owners. Nothing but open hearts and kindness each time we visit. Wonderful pub, plenty of outdoor seating to admire the surrounding countryside.

Just returned from having stayed 2 nights with my family at The Cottage Inn . Lovely newly decorated & furnished rooms with complimentary refreshments and welcoming cream tea which was a lovely touch !
Breakfast was good with plenty of choice & all cooked fresh for you .
The new owners and their staff where very welcoming & friendly . I would definitely recommend staying at the Cottage Inn and using the pub & restaurant as the food looked lovely when served to diners .

Called in for a lunch stop. Was not disappointed the 4 of us enjoyed 2 had ploughman's, other 2 had Ham egg and chips. For sweet our waitress recommended the meringue nests we shared 2 fantastic. Will certainly call in again. They also have rooms if you want to stay good car park but take care when leaving , as this is a fast and busy road.

I figured from the recent responses that the old owner has changed.

This is our local pub and decor much improved. Had an excellent steak a few weeks ago and cooked exactly as we like it. This evening I tried their curry night and Jalfrezi excellent and plenty of it. Also recommend the Madri lager. Lovely barman who was keeping an eye and sweeping up after guests left. Highly recommend a meal here and reasonable prices

Lovely large double room with very comfortable bed, nice bed linen. Clean and well maintained. Fresh milk in the fridge for tea/coffee. Good shower, nice towels and toiletries. Breakfast was excellent. Would recommend 👌
