Exceeded my expectations! We stayed at the The Welcome Traveller with a view to recommending them to our Coasteering clients. It was easy to find, with ample parking, the reception & dining area were much bigger than expected (it's like a tardis), a warm welcome awaits all visitors, rooms were clean & functional, food was tasty (thanks chef Geoff). Spent the evening in the small bar, cozy & warm, pool table, bigscreen tv, patio area. The larger bar/function room area is ideal for weddings and other celebrations. We'll certainly be recommending you guys to our clients, prices are good value for money. Their adventure day package includes breakfast, a packed lunch and evening meal. Thanks folks :)

My husband and i have stayed at the welcome traveler for many years. The rooms are clean and tidy. Good value for money. Geoff,Babs & Sarah are the best hosts ever. Good home cooked food, portions good value for money to. See you soon Dave & Ann-marie from Plymouth.

Great place to eat/drink or even rest your head. Being a Family run business makes it feel home from home for me. Clean and tidy place to stay. Amazing grub, and fantastic value for money.

Great family environment, very welcoming and beautiful food - all you can eat breakfast, evening meals and sunday carvery Roast Dinners!
Plenty of parking to the rear, a quiet location. Accommodation is clean, fresh and spacious.
Great value for money, highly recommended!

Breakfast was ok. Very rude staff, not impressed with the customer service. The cook actually swore at us as two boys had muddy boots which they tried wiping on the way in but wasn’t good enough..
And apparently your only allowed to use one plate as the rude lady rolled her eyes for taking another warm plate as the original plate went very cold as it took them far to long to bring fresh food out.

Not impressed and will definitely not recommend this. If you don’t want workers coming in with their work boots then either supply overshoes or think of another way of saving yourself some cleaning.

Thanks but no thanks

Room: ok for the money. Clren but we had 2 spiders.
Breakfast: all you can eat, but very little amount left so we had to wait until they bring more. In meantime a lady just told us: patience. We got coffee and tea, no water or juice. The quality of the breakfast could be better.
Staff: not friendly at all!

Went there for breakfast this morning, food was excellent, help yourself buffet breakfast.....eggs were orange yolked and were delicious (local farm) must have come from very happy chickens! Bacon was thick and tasty, sausages also yummy. Reasonable price for a delicious breakfast, the surroundings were pleasant, clean and the staff were helpful.....we shall be going back ☺️

Great food preparation.Super friendly staff in a well spaced, clean and respectable area.

Carvery fella was awesome and ensured we was happy with quantity.

Garden area away from road overlooking carpark and has benches on a viranda.
