A fabulous base for exploring the area, bonus its dog friendly with a lovely couple Mick & Lin who own it. I had the twin room & it was huge. Excellent breakfast plus use of microwave & fridge in the breakfast room. Would def stay here again.

Kind and considerate hosts in a quirky and interesting old house. Peaceful and perfect once you get there. 2km out of town and if travelling by public transport, no marked bus stop, so Google maps don't advise that most bus drivers (T12 and X75) may drop you at Gro lane end, opposite JT Hughes, Kia dealers. At very least, if coming from town, you can get off bus at stop at cemetery, opposite Morrisons supermarket which is 10 minute walk, half a mile or 1km before Gro Guest House. The walk from Morrisons, straight along the pavement on cemetery side, is pleasant, whereas, I found the walk from town to Morrisons too busy, involving too many road crossings.

Lovely place fully recommended ... Very big rooms toilet with bath and shower. Breakfast the best fresh with fresh juice, lovely old people care off you like parents, time run slowly there, quiet village we love that place with my family..

It's a good location near in town , good hosts, it's nice old building but don't expect like modern design or modern sofa or anything just appreciate the old building or anything inside .
