The Cove Guest House

We received a Very Warm welcome from Ron the proprietor after travelling up from Torquay. There was just the 2 of us but We had the whole use of the top floor ( family room, kitchen , double room with en-suite) for £25 per person per night. We stayed 2 nights as we were visiting family nearby. The breakfast was excellent and Ron's staff were really friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble! The Guest house is not the most modern but their warm welcome and great hospitality exceeds other fancy B & B's.

We stayed with Karen and Mark at The Cove Guest House recently and cannot wait to return! The service we received was second to none - nothing was too much trouble for these warm, friendly and attentive hosts. They went above and beyond to exceed our expectations. We can give nothing less than 10/10 for their well-equipped spacious rooms, tasty breakfast and location (2 minutes walk from the seafront). A lovely place to stay. Very clean and presentable, a warm welcome on arrival and the courtesy continued till departure.
The breakfast was excellent, in fact one of the best I've had for a while.
I would have no hesitation staying again if I'm in the area.

Karen and Mark gAve us a fabulous welcome and we soon discovered that Karen and I were brought up in the same part of London.The guest house was absolutely spotless and beautifully cared for.The room was fresh bright and airy and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was lovely and well presented. Karen and Mark couldn't do enough for us.A great place in a great location and good value for money. The most amazing place to stay. Rooms clean and spacious , breakfasts to die for. Owners Mark and Karen go much further than you could imagine. Excellent stay from start to finish and all at a fantastic price.

A very cozy place with 2 lovely hosts. They talk with you and care for you - sincerely, I you tell... Very clean and tidy place to stay. Definitely a family friendly place. Bed was comfy, showers were fine. Location is quiet good, as well. Breakfast (with options)is just great to me and my husband's taste. We’re planning to come back again.

Small double was a single room with a double bed! The wardrobe was in the bathroom! Awful breakfast. Cremated food. Hosts were a little too friendly. After a long drive to get there you don't need an hour of small talk. Just show us the room and leave us to relax. Creaky floorboards and very squeaky bed. Won't stay again

What a brilliant place to stay, can't fault it, rooms so comfy and clean, definitely go again. The hosts were so inviting, friendly and actually cared about your stay and the breakfast, brilliant. Thank you Mark and Karen.
