Tŷ Glyndwr Bunkhouse & Bar

We visited in August last year. Rhys was an AMAZING host. He went above and beyond to accommodate us - it felt like he was a friend more than a host ! The room itself was really clean and a great way to meet new people. (Meg the dog was beautiful and we miss her very much!)

I had a wonderful time at the bunkhouse! Rhys is a very sympathetic and welcoming guy who runs it. The rooms are very clean and the bunkhouse is right in the middle of the town. I highly recommend this place!

Fantastic location with a very friendly and helpful host. The beds were very comfy and the rooms felt rustic rather than basic. We found parking that was free after 6pm with in 5 minutes walk and a good selection of eateries in the town for food. The only complain was that the pub outside was loud until midnight but it was still much quieter than many hostels.

A well located hostel with a good vibe and a great host. Rooms were good - clean and comfortable.
One slight issue, for people such as hikers like ourselves who need to start early, could be the fact that the downstairs area is locked until 8am. This meant that we could not get breakfast, nor could we access the fridges

Fabulous host, comfortable and clean accommodation. Great central location near pubs and restaurants. Downstairs bar is welcoming and breakfast is plentiful and coffee hot and always flowing. Family room with lounge and bathroom was perfect for our holiday.

The owner was lovely and nice from the beginning. The place is great and you feel like at home. We are from Spain and the owner was very interested in our country and language. We have felt very comfortable. The room and the place is clean and tidy, breakfasts are complete and good quality. Thanks for everything. We will come back for sure

We booked on the day after a wet day of cycling up from Harlech. Check in was incredibly easy and the room and facilities clean and comfortable.

It really is a special hostel with an incredible basement bar. Rhys restored the building himself and put a lot of love into it. Don’t hesitate to stay here!

The host is excellent, friendly and Knowledgeable. The place is very welcoming and homely.the Family room is excellent value and comfort with games and comfy sofas.( there was 5 of us )
Cleanliness is good and nothing seems too much trouble.
Great selection of breakfast cereal ( almost every one you can think of) , toast jam coffee . Centrally situated for the Castle and all other attractions.If your looking for Eggs benedict then you need to go to a Hotel but as Hostels/ Bunk houses go this is Top notch Da iawn !
