Gwynfa Bed and Breakfast

Positive: Easy to find, with dedicated parking space. Lovely welcome, homely atmosphere, cracking breakfast, great shower. Our lovely landlady showed me to our room, despite our arriving a little early, explaining key system and how to work the shower etc, Thoughtfully took a chair out of our room to give our (rather large!) dog more space, and happily supplied decaf tea for my husband. She also remembered to provide decaf at breakfast without our having to remind or ask - wonderful attention to detail. Nothing too much trouble.. Negative: Not an actual dislike - I knew that we were booked into a twin bedded room but would recommend the (slightly larger) double if it’s available..

Positive: Managed to get in with Beryl after she had a last minute cancellation! Our dog Boon very much enjoyed his stay with a treat on arrival. Great host who’s full of love and kindness. Great veggie breakfast and a nice cup of coffee. We all had a great nights stay..

We knocked on the door in hope of a last minute room when we saw the vacancy sign and definitely feel on our feet!! Beryl couldn't have been more welcoming and quickly made sure we had everything we needed. The room was wonderfully comfy and breakfast was tremendous. She even made a special effort to get her new card machine up and running to save us hunting down cash and was just a lovely friendly person.

Beryl was such a lovely lady. Accommodation brilliant. And the full English breakfast was amazing. Definitely stay here again. Ten out of ten.

We have stayed twice now with the lovely Beryl & Barry and have found there home clean and well equipped. The hosts are entertaining and very welcoming and Beryl's full English breakfast are devine. We shall definitely be staying again.

What a beautiful B&B this is.
Beryl and Barry are such lovely genuine people. The room we had was spotless. Everything was at hand even had Antihistamines and paracetamol in little baskets needed. Breakfast was lovely

I stay regularly and every time is a pleasure, staying with Beryl & Barry is akin to staying with your big brother & sister. The room was spotless, warm & comfortable. Great people, lovely place, here's to next time!

Me and my fiance were visiting my family in Porthmadog and I luckily managed to get a room for both of us.

Beryl made us feel so much at home and everything that we needed were in the room. There were even straighteners, curling tongs, a pair of slippers for both of us and a dressing gown each! Best thing was our own mini fridge! There were loads of other things too :).

The breakfast was delicious and she would ask us what we wanted the day before. For example, my fiance doesn't like mushrooms so she didn't serve them to him. I asked for a small/medium proportion which is what is included in the photo.

If you're looking for somewhere with a homely vibe and somewhere welcoming, I definitely recommend staying at Gwynfa. I'm originally from Porthmadog and she made my home visit even more special. I feel like I made a friend :).
