It really is such a shame I am having to leave a 3 star review as Aiden in the showroom deserves a 5 star, he was knowledgable, helpful and friendly. Honestly couldn't fault him at all, he was brilliant. We are also delighted with our new mattress, worth every penny.
However, the delivery service is a whole different story and deserved a one star at best. The delivery was on time but when they saw our stairs had a slight curve in them the mattress was left in the livingroom for us to sort out ourselves. Apparently the delivery men were not allowed to bend the mattress at all, even though we told them we could not move it ourselves and were happy to sign to say if any damage was done then we would take full responsibility. We told them we had no one to help us get it up the stairs but they really didn't care.
We were left with a heavy superking mattress in the livingroom and had to arrange for a couple of tradesmen to move it for us (at cost of course)
Aiden was extremely helpful and apologetic when we phoned in to advise what had happened. We did get a small refund. It must be very frustrating for him providing such an excellent service only to be let down by the delivery service. It appears many other people have experienced the same.
Unfortunately we would not use Mattressman again due to the poor delivery service. We had recommended them to my elderly mother who needs a new mattress, we have now told her not to use them as her stairs curve round also and at 77 she doesn't want a mattress left in her livingroom unable to get it up the stairs.
Mattressman, get your delivery services sorted out, you are letting your excellent showroom service down. Aiden, thanks for all your help, you were brilliant.

I can not fault this company. I ordered the Malta corner set for the garden around 6pm on the Thursday evening. By 1pm the next day it was delivered. The delivery team rang through a precise time in the morning. I had a slight issue with one of the stools which was rectified immediately by the customer service team. I was reluctant to purchase after reading some of the reviews but I’m glad I didn’t let that put me off!

Stay away from this retailer! I've ordered bed, mattress and mattress protector and I've paid extra for my old bed and mattress removing. All went smoothly until the delivery day. Two man in the van patheticly brought the mattress protector only! It was too late to speak to the customer service, so we slept on the floor. Early morning next day I tried to call their cs but they said someone would call me. I was waiting till 3p.m. to get an answer that they would deliver the mattress next day (2 days after planned delivery day) but the bed is out of stock and would be ready .... in 3 months time!!! What the mess! i lost two working days, waiting pointlessly for the furniture I paid for and at the end of the day I was told that if I want the refund, I will have to bring this unfortunate mattress protector back to their shop.

So happy that I read the reviews before I go and buy my bed. Won’t be shopping here. Thanks everyone for being honest. Regardless of all the bad reviews they have received they still haven’t done anything to improve their services

Aiden in Mattressman Northampton is without doubt an excellent ambassador for the company. An extremely knowledgeable and personable individual. Nothing was too much trouble and the end result of an extremely comfortable bed and base, the icing on the cake. Thanks again for all of your help, much appreciated.

Very helpful manager (Aidan) who gave great advice and knowledge of products. However I had an appalling delivery experience - and I see from other reviews that this is common. Bed delivered over 10 hours later than expected - arrived late evening after I had been in all day - and half of my order was missing. Nightmare trying to reorganise delivery involving many phone calls and emails to Mattressman and delivery company. Despite it not being my fault that half my order was missing, they refused to accommodate my request to redeliver at a time to suit me - apparently no one in either company has the authority to decide what time a day an order is delivered! Delivery company has terrible reviews. I would like to use Mattressman again, but not whilst they use Panther Logisitics to deliver their orders. Local salesman was great but Head Office were of no help at all

Shockingly bad service. Honestly the worst I've ever received. Booked delivery for Saturday 1st, got a text the night before saying it was due 8:40am-10:40am. Then got a text 8:20am saying it was cancelled, because it had been sent to the wrong depot. I was moving into a house that day, totally alone, with no furniture, so had to rush to buy a blow up mattress, which I was still sleeping on a week later. No one could tell me when I'd be receiving my mattress, and I eventually lost patience and cancelled my order, receiving next day delivery and impeccable service from a competitor. Don't order from this company. If they mess it up, they won't help you. Would give them zero stars if I could.

Edited to add: the competitor used the same courier as Mattressman - Panther. And I had absolutely no issues whatsoever.
