Hoppys Cycles & Fishing Tackle

Went in there recently to buy an inner tube. The guy has a way about him but had a cracking talk. Looking at the previous rating, I wonder if the person has asked respectfully or just kind of clicked at the door expecting what response?
It's nice to have a local bike shop where the owner will be straight forward with you. There are enough places out there with the lecky tills and staff who can't even ride a bike never mind fix one.
I will be going there again soon to ask what he reckons about my gears and I'll give him a heads up regarding reviews as he's of the older generation and possibly not up with professional moaners who give no respect but expect it in the butt load.

had trouble with this shop when i was a kid .i see nothing has changed horrible rude nasty could easily loose it with this guy dont use this sad shop they cant even fix a puncture talks to people like shxtx

tried to charge me £45 for to stop my rear wheel from wobbling £15 of this was to fix the back brakes which wasn't a problem in the first place

Wish I could leave 0 stars. The man here is so rude it's unreal. My boyfriend is from Manchester and not moved down here properly yet so doesn't have any of his fishing stuff. He went in to inquire about a rod and the man was not helpful at all. Saying he should of brought his own blah blah. So we went elsewhere for a rod but unfortunately had to go back for some maggots which again he was really rude like no you can't have any money first and all that. So we will definitely not be going back. He'll be losing a lot of custom that's for sure

one star cos he is never bloody open. 11 times I've been there and once he was open !
If you own a shop and say you'll be open at the stated times, your open, right? . . .WRONG

Owner has an overall bad attitude towards customers. He started swearing at me and when I told him there's no need to swear at me and he started having a go at me. Never going back there again

Eddies a good friend of mine and the families. And I know if I need someone to talk to he's always there to listen. Thanks Eddie love Julie x
