This is not the only bike shop in Guildford to give good service but good service they certainly give. Simon (the boss) is ready to talk bikes and give advice without sales pressure. Ben (mechanic) did a great job on my new Talon Zero including fitting upgrades and making the little adjustments that make for a personal service. Communication was excellent and, as you would expect, the bike came to the pre-agreed price.
I had passed the shop so many times but now I'm glad I went in.

Outstanding bike fit from Mitch - he is so knowledgeable about the mechanics of the body, and soft tissue/ligaments in particular. He spent ages getting it just right and was never in a rush. Bike now feels great. I cannot recommend the value that this £120 delivers more highly. You will not be disappointed! Simon

Recently took my old hardtail there to get a quote in order to make it roadworthy. To their credit they did a thorough job of giving the bike a good look over and listing everything that supposedly needed replaced / fixed. I was quite taken aback when the initial quote came to over 2 thirds of what I spent on the bike in the first place (the bike at the time of writing is 6 years old). I decided to take the bike to Hargroves cycles in Chichester where they have just successfully serviced the bike to full working order for just over £200. I am not a mechanic hence my reliance on bike shops to fix stuff - but I am experienced in basic wear and tear and had I gone with Giant I fear I'd be paying through the nose for what turned out to be minor fixes. I was also met with a sarcastic raise of he eyebrows when I mentioned how much I'd spent on the bike in the last few months - not a great way to treat a first time customer. Surrey is chock a block with fantastic bike shops so I'll be giving Giant a miss for the foreseeable future. This review is based on my personal experience.

Excellent service.
I was in trouble due to a snapped chain and dodgy derailleur (thanks to some bodged work at a well known bike shop that rhymes with Evans).
I took my road bike in at short notice (10 mins!) and the gents in Giant sorted all my issues and explained the problems.
I will be taking my bikes in here for future services.

Thanks guys-good work!

Like many during the lockdown, I decided to venture into the world of cycling. Being a novice here is somewhat disorientating; however, Simon and Rick at the Giant store were the perfect guides. They took time in explaining all the different configurations available to a newbie like me and then care in fitting the bike to my wants and needs, which they did using lasers and several other impressive devices. At that time, there were supply issues for bikes across the country, but Simon handled this all with ease and delivered the perfect bike to me on time. The bike itself is brilliant, beautifully made and a joy to ride!

It hurts me to leave poor reviews as I have no wish to harm any business. Unfortunately however I had a poor experience of the shop today. I had a snapped spoke a couple of miles outside Guildford today. I walked into the city centre to catch the train only to find that there were bus replacements in place and I was not allowed to take the bike on the bus. I called the shop and spoke to what i believe to be the owner, he was very helpful and said to swing by and they would see if they could replace the spoke. I proceeded to walk for half an hour in cleats to get to the shop. When I arrived however the gentleman I had spoken to was engaged with another customer, for what its worth it sounded like he really knew his stuff. The other member of staff point blank told me they could not fit me in, I explained the situation I was in but this didn't seem to matter. As a business owner I appreciate it is not easy to drop everything and help someone unexpectedly. Cycling however is a sport of unwritten rules and one of those rules is those out on the road in need of help generally get it. I have never walked into a shop with an issue and not been helped - especially something as simple as a spoke replacement. In the end I had to get my dad to drive from Basingstoke to Guildford to get me home. Riding a Giant bike didn't seem to hold any weight in a Giant shop.

Bought two Talon's last year - great experience, got lucky with 2 cancelled orders so didn't have to wait.

Had a flat tyre today, called in expecting to leave the wheel for a few days - they fixed on the spot to save me having to call back - amazing service - highly recommended
