One of the best locations in Ipswich to take photos

We had a fabulous day out on the river.
The Orwell is spectacular from the boat, one gets to see the Orwell Bridge from a totally different perspective and it is worth every penny spent.
Chugging down the river aboard the Captain Allen Gardiner ( in its past it was an Air and sea rescue boat all the way from South Africa 🇿🇦) seeing the huge estates along the river, getting a few vignettes of the past history of some of the homes was very enlightening.
Getting to the end of our journey at Felixstowe Port seeing all the cranes and the fabulous infrastructure at the port that makes this area wealthy and brings in trade from the world over......!! This is where we turned around back to shore but not without the seeing the cranes in silhouette as we chugged back ...what a sight!
We had a first class meal with liquid libations that set us up for an almost dreamy trip homeward.
Highly recommended as the staff were absolutely excellent .....service second to none. I left my handbag on the coathanger that my husband had to retrieve before the next trip out as there are three trips a day.

Signage to coffee venue needs to be better. Latte average. Quite strong. Reasonable value for money

Absolutely great little mooring location. The Harbourmaster was very helpful as were all the staff. The facilities were clean and simply to use at a reasonable price

The chandlery is the best stocked that I have found in our travels around the UK, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended

Excellent lunch at the Marina restaurant.
