My husband and I took our 4 boys (aged between 10 and 4) on the 1 hour Ramsey Island trip. All 6 of us absolutely loved it!
We had originally booked for the Saturday morning slot but unfortunately when we turned up the boat ride had to be cancelled due to very windy conditions and huge waves. However Voyages of Discovery managed to book us onto a trip the next morning and the weather was kinder to us.
I found Voyages of Discovery easy/friendly to deal with and the boat site was easy to find/park at.
The 'skipper' and the 'tour guide' were both absolutely fantastic and really added to the whole experience. They were both very knowledgeable and the facts that they told us during the trip were fascinating - it helped that you could hear their passion as they spoke about it.
We managed to see plenty of birds plus two different groups of seals. In addition to the wildlife, the island itself is fascinating with it's history and geological formation.
There was one 10min stretch on the way home where the conditions got a little 'fruity' (to use the skipper's expression) - the waves were very big and we did end up getting quite wet (highly recommend waterproofs as you never know what the sea is going to throw at you)! However, the skipper's control of the RIB was next to none. I felt very safe at all times, despite the conditions, and you could really feel how under control he had the boat.
Will absolutely be booking another tip if we return to Pembrokeshire in the future!

Absolutely fantastic trips. I did the evening tour which was amazing, we saw so much wildlife. Our driver and guide (Dave and Rosie) were well informed and gave us plenty of interesting information without talking all the time. As this trip was so good I booked onto the Off Shore Islands and Dolphin trip, which again was amazing. We were taken out to Grassholm and Smalls Lighthouse, and the wildlife was unbelievable. Again our guides (Dave and Joe) were really excellent and made the trip really enjoyable. Unfortunately we never saw a Dolphin but they tried hard to find us one.
The boats feel very safe and you're given life jackets to wear. It's easy to get in and out the boat too, and the staff were really reassuring especially as I am nervous on boats. Definitely wrap up warm, it was 26c when I went and it was really cold out on the sea.
I can't recommend this company enough, these were some of the best trips I have done.

Took the 1 hour trip around Ramsey , a party of 5 today. Absolutely loved every minute of it. Saw seals, razorbills, porpoises and many other birds.
We live in St Davids and it's the first trip we've taken and we will definitely be back with more of the family when they visit. 5 star rating all day long

Booked the Offshore Whale and Dolphins Voyage for my fiancé's birthday back in July, and we absolutely loved it! We booked the early morning trip and were lucky to see all kinds of wildlife, from seals and all kinds of birds to dolphins! Even if we hadn't been lucky enough to spot dolphins, it still would have been so much fun just zooming around the boat. Our guides were very knowledgeable and engaging (unfortunately I can't recall their names since the trip was a month ago now!), and I'd certainly book another voyage in a heartbeat. It was the highlight of our week in St David's and was worth every penny!

We went on a one hour island exhilarating rib ride around the islands with Neil and Rosie who were very knowledgeable about the various bird wildlife and seals that were breeding and had pups. On the return trip, we were lucky enough to be treated to a breathtaking performance from a huge pod of dolphins who were hunting and they were so close to the boat. We had never seen this before it was incredible. Thanks guys for a superb experience.

Booked the dolphin and whale watching trip. Although we saw nothing it was an amazing boat ride and went out as far as the Smalls Lighthouse. Great guides with lots of interesting facts. Definitely worth a trip and I'll be back for the puffins next year!

This one hour trip around the coves of Ramsey island was the highlight of our St Davids camping trip. Staff were all very friendly and professional with a lot of knowledge about the history and nature passes on. Boats were fast. We got to see some harbour porpoises, many seals, jelly fish and lots of sea birds. Remember to wear extra layers because it's a different world out there even in the hottest summer days.
