Terrible experience, awful customer service!! My book arrived damaged and a few days late. I asked for a partial refund, they ignored my question and sent an automated response that said they had already ordered a replacement copy. Then I asked for a second time and said they already ordered a second copy so they won't do a partial refund. A week later the second book arrives in a worse state than the first!!!

Great value, arrived quickly, excellent packaging, well done Books etc !!

Ordered book, payment reserved against my paypal account, 11 days later no news, no email at order time or since, no reply to my query about the delay. Cannot recommend.

First time I had ordered from Books etc. I wanted a copy of Python Crash Course 3rd edition and they were the cheapest. Despite the generally poor reviews I was very impressed. Speedy delivery and the book was packed really well (For better than Amazon). Book was spotless without any creases or damage from postage. Very much recommended.

Horrible packaging. Had several books come damaged and they offer either a full refund but the book is sold out so thats not what you want or they offer a 5% discount which is ridiculous for a damaged book. You buy something New and if you get it damaged you should get a replacement or if out of stock a real discount and not 3 pounds on an over 60 pounds damaged book.

Update: Based on the reaction from booksetc down below, I send them an email. They never bothered to reply to it.

Very disappointed with this website.
Ordered a book last week, they took my money straight away, no confirmation email, nothing.
Today I receive a notification from my bank saying the payment was reversed. Again, no email, nothing.
Won't be buying from them again.

Ordered an omnibus from this company and they took immediate payment,heard nothing for six weeks, decided to contact them. Apparently had warehouse and stock issues with this book and have given me a refund. I wonder how much longer they would have sat on my money if I hadn't chased up this order.I would have waited till more stock available but wasn't given any option.It would seem all the terrible reviews are justified. Shame

Twice now in the last 6 months I have ordered through them, only for the items to get lost in the post. The most recent time, the item is now longer in stock, so they can't send a replacement. Do not recommend using them.
