The Wivenhoe Bookshop

Marvellous independent bookshop. They run philosophy classes in the shed at the back of the shop, show local artists work and run book launches. It is the intellectual lifeblood of the village and well worth avoiding Amazon to enjoy a proper bookish ambience.

I have been using the shop for years, should have posted before. The shop is a gem, wonderful to browse, lovely atmosphere, lovely knowledgeable people who come up with just the right choice whether for youself or a gift idea. We are so lucky to have them

Always good to find an independent bookshop. This one on the main road through Wivenhoe leading down to the river. Good selection of books especially good poetry books. Well worth a visit.

Lovely little shop with a good range of books. My son was visiting the shop for himself after winning a book voucher in his school raffle. Staff very polite and friendly

When I ask for a book, they will put in an order, and it will arrive in just a few days.
I like that, and being a small independent shop, the staff are helpful and polite.

Favourite shop for books and cards. Such a diverse range of book titles and friendly, welcoming staff. Wivenhoe is so lucky to have a bookshop of this calibre and they will order books and have them in the next day, so much nicer than Amazon.

Wonderful little independent bookshop in Wivenhoe. Lots of choice, with books you don't often see at bigger names. Laid out well, with the shelves clearly labelled. Friendly staff, and near other shops and facilities. Well worth a visit.

Fantastic wide ranging choice of books , over the sofa art gallery and very friendly helpful and knowledgeable staff. A complete gem.
