Waterstones

If I were to choose one luxury item for Desert Island Discs, it would be Waterstones.

Always a great selection of books, usually a cafe to sit and enjoy your latest purchase. The staff in the two local to me are always extremely helpful and often provide excellent additional suggestions.

Not the first time I have been in this Waterstones and again a good service given by polite, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Large number of books covering all ages and subjects. I also ordered a book that was not in stock which arrived in 2 working days. A really pleasant shop to browse and is thoroughly recommended.

Good stock, nice staff, fast service. Great place to get books. Two floors, so plenty of reading. Also does book signings.

Visited Waterstones on 1 August and was very impressed with the young man who served me. He told me you were expecting a visit from Jack Jordan in the coming weeks, and recommended Jack’s latest book to me, as displayed on the counter. I said I’d look it up. I’m very glad I did as I’m now on my fourth Jack Jordan book and now a massive fan. So full marks to your salesman. I would never have tried Jack’s books had it not been for him.

Went there to see Dan Jones talk about his new book Essex dogs. It was a great experience, it was a closed group of around 25 people so it had an intimate feel and they provide refreshments!

I haven't actually been to this store but the service I have received from Helen the manager has been nothing short of outstanding. She has gone above and beyond to help me and for that I am really greatful. Thank you Helen, I hope to get to meet you one day.

Very helpful and polite staff,found everything I was looking for.

Very busy but got served quickly and was nearly over charged but was lucky I noticed a £20 label on the Jacket but when scanned told it was £26 but was quickly changed when I challenged the price all good I'll put it down to a computer glitch
