It's a paradise for the aviation enthusiast, I would stay there all day long browsing the books! Also a very good selection of plastic models and the prices are very reasonable.
I got an original Navigation Manual from 1941 for 45£ and a Practical Flying book from 1918 for 20£, it's about one hour by train from London Charing Cross station, it's very near from Tunbridge Wells Station.
Very polite staff, highly recommended!

A lucky 'stumbleupon', and what a treat. They have a huge stock of specialist aviation books, many of them rare, and quite a collection of original manufacturers' handbooks, historic official documentation, and other amazing publications. They also have a wall full of rare plastic kit models from brands you've never heard of (eg, Czech) and extremely knowledgeable & enthusiastic staff. Not enough time. Not enough money. I will be back!

Simon Watson and the gentlemen of the Aviation Bookshop are true enthusiasts and terrific people. It is one of my favorite places on earth and I feel great when I patronize the shop.

There selection is second to none. There prices on their second hand selection are fair and reasonable and they bend over backwards to take care of their customers.

I can assure you that Amazon doesn't greet me with open arms and know that I like milk and two sugars in my coffee when I come through the door.

If you haven't visited the shop, do yourself a favor and pay the lads at the Aviation Bookshop a visit. You won't be disappointed.

First short visit recently I say first as will be definitely returning , if you have the slightest interest in anything to do with aviation treat yourself today. You can get lost in this Palace for a considerable time which is my intention. Plus the gentlemen at the front next is more than helpful I only had a very brief visit last time looking for background info on V bombers and scale models. But I will be looking forward to next visit.

Went in expecting no models, there was Airfix galore! I will be coming back for some books and models, the man at the counter was so lovely! By far the best model/aviation shop I have ever been to (and definitely my favourite shop in Tunbridge wells) thankyou so much, will be back soon.

Look no further!

An awesome bookstore with arguably the best selection of aviation related books in the country (if not Europe or even further!)

Recent releases sig side by side on the shelves with rate and out of print titles covering all aspects of military and civil aviation. Also in store are long-gone model kits, posters and some artworks.

Prices are exceptional (ie on the right side of very acceptable) and even the limited edition titles (signed ir limited editions) won't break the bank.

On top of all this is a massive selection if secondhand books and magazines, often available at discounted prices

The staff can't do enough to help if you have any questions snd if a titles isn't available on the day, it can be ordered and they will contact you subsequently when a copy arrives in the shop.

Love this place!!

Yes I love it there, lots of my own books for sale, but apart from that, it has the feeling of an old-school bookshop with a lot of surprises and titles. Excellent

A brilliant selection of books. I was spoilt for choice. In the end, I decided to buy a couple of the second hand aircraft kits too as they were rare and unusual.
