Waterstones

Very well laid out store with extremely helpful staff. I was asked if I needed assistance which is unfortunately too rate and was a nice surprise. The assistance was prompt and professional but they did not have the book I was looking for and I was not asked if I wanted them to order it for me or told what other stores have it in stock. I really wish they had done that. Nevertheless I was impressed with the store.

Very knowledgeable staff.
Wonderful depth of selections.
They also have a useful "frequent buyer" program that reduces the cost.
One can also "click and collect" which saves a lot of time.

Manga review:
It's nice to see a dedicated manga section in bookstores such as Waterstones but when shopping in London there's much better to be found. I needn't describe what mangas you'll find as they're all visable in the attached pictures but I do appreciate the inclusion of titles like beserk and Akira.

Good to see a great, reliable, real book shop still going strong on the high Street. Great for general browsing and for buying a thoughtful gift for someone. Make sure you visit your local bookshop.

Their inventory system links Hatchards, Dillons, and Foyles. It's as good as Amazon and much more fun. If you love books, there is no better place except perhaps Blackwell's.

This is a beautiful store: Very well laid out, welcoming, and clean. Love the warm lighting! I was trying to find a specific book and the employee on the lower level was very insistent that they didn't have it, and even when I looked in that section she was a little aggressive in her stance. Sure enough I found it, and was thrilled :) Perhaps they can learn their own system better, and be more patient and kind when assisting a new customer? The rest of the employees, however, were very friendly and knowledgeable.

I've come a long way by taxi to this branch only for them to tell me they're closing an hour earlier... Well your opening hours on Google maps say you close at 9pm. I suggest you change it.
