I love seeing black owned bookshops. This is a nice cozy bookshop just north of London. The staff are lovely and helpful. There's a couple of seats you can use to sit and read a book.

This book seller specialises in works from the Caribbean, Black British, African and African American. The collection includes fiction, non-fiction and children’s books. You’ll find everything from poetry to history, fiction, non fiction and children's books. This is a real find and worth visiting.

Amazing bookstore which celebrates the full range of black culture. I came to buy some children's books but was thoroughly distracted by the artistry and literature on show.

Staff are very warm and welcoming, and I was even given a short history lesson, covering the late Founder, John La Rose, to the archive and educational centre, the George Padmore Institute. It's clear how important this place is for the community and I will definitely be back as soon as possible.

On my visit to London I'm glad I researched and went to this bookstore. Such a great range of Black books (Caribbean, Afro-American, African, revolutionary, arts, etc.). Available books were a good mixture from well known to hard to find, which made my search very enjoyable.

The best part of my trip there was the lady running the store who had such a great knowledge of the stores history, and gave excellent recommendations based on my interests - very friendly and helpful. There was also a Caribbean writer there who I enjoyed a historical / intellectual conversation with. What I originally planned as a short visit turned into an insightful hour.

Was well worth the trip and the books I got there have been great reads. I highly recommend it, and will certainly go again on my next visit to the city. Thank you!

In my area this is an important place. We should give support for the history, but also because the selection of books is good, and the staff are very welcome

Love the variety of books and the ranges for children of different age groups. Ranges from African, African american, Caribbean and black British range. Some wonderful books for children that Iv bought my daughter, learning about inspirational black people and black history is so important. A great book store I had only learned it existed through a Facebook group. This should definitely be advertised more as I often look for books like this but to find a full range like this is difficult so this book store is fantastic.
