A model for all independent bookshops

I have travelled around London to see Independent bookshops and each has a different character. I assume it exudes the qualities of the people in the area.

This is one of my favourite for the following reasons.
1. It is cosy. The books are well spaced and there are places to sit and quietly enjoy looking at a book, with a coffee, before you buy. The lighting is perfect. It is clean and sectioned so that you have quiet areas to peruse a book or two.
2. There is an amazingly good collection of books for all ages. There is a corner where children can sit and enjoy a book as well. They also appear to sell some cards and toys for children.
3. The staff are very helpful and happy to answer any questions.
4. A true community bookshop. There were lots of signs about local activities and activism. Including one against Sainsbury's locating nearby. Well done!

I prefer these independent bookshops to any others so I admit I am biassed. However if you enjoy being around books as I do then this is an ideal spot for you.

Small with just an amazing selection of books and the people who work there adore the books and have great advice. So friendly and a great neighborhood unpretentiousness vibe :) ah and a lovely little coffee shops inside with seating inside and out

Love this shop! Staff and owners are always happy to give suggestions for new books to read. Really friendly and helpful. Great gift ideas. Always happy to order any books in and very quick to respond to queries. Click and collect is really easy and shop feels safe and clean when it has been allowed open. Highly recommend this bookshop!

The best bookshop-coffee shop I have found in London! Very cosy, greater selection of books than the big bookshop chains, genuinely friendly staff! Worth stopping by!

Great local bookshop with a good variety of books. Friendly staff and cozy atmosphere. You can order a coffee and drink it in one of the small tables placed outside.

This is a lovely indie bookshop, it's on the smaller side in regards to space but has a huge selection of books. The staff have been really great both in person and via email, and it's great to see strong COVID protocols at the moment!

This was my second visit and I was surprisingly pleased. During my first visit, the interactions with the team was very transactional (no hello, no smile, really pay and go) but in my last visit the person at the till was very warm and friendly which made the whole experience much appreciable.
The bookstore itself is lovely, with a special section for children.
