Waterstones

Lovely little book shop. Has a fantastic travel selection & a pretty well stocked kids section.
Called The Blackheath Bookshop it’s actually a Waterstones so you can still use your loyalty cards as well as vouchers.

They can also order pretty much any book. They are a great place for cards and small birthday presents too.
It’s often got quite a few other people browsing but never seems overrun. Well worth checking out

This shop is by far the BEST Waterstones branch I have ever dealt with. In fact, this is the best book shop I have ever purchased from.
First, I would like to mention Michael as being No. 1 In customer service. He went completely out of his way to help me and make sure that all of my requests were met. The kindest employee I have spoken to from the entire Waterstones crew. A lot of the books I wanted were hard to get and scattered around different Waterstones branches and Michael had the patience to collect them all for me and I am very grateful for that! I have been dealing with a lot of book stores, both in store and online and never has anyone been so efficient and helpful. THANK YOU MICHAEL!
Second, I must say that communicating and buying from real people is a far more pleasant customer experience than dealing with all the online shops. Nothing beats the answers of a person who is passionate about their job and likes to help. It is inspiring and warms the heart.
And lastly, this shop has a vibrant appearance and many cool activities that I am always so sad I'm missing! If you live in the neighborhood you are extremely lucky! If I could, I would visit every week.
I would recommend any and all to visit the shop and have the pleasant shopping experience that I had. I will definitely continue purchasing from this shop for as long as it exists!

Good Bookshop. Welcoming environment in the heart of Blackheath. Extensive collection of titles from a wide range of authors. If visiting its worth taking your time and taking a long browse. In terms of improvements? None really but an event space could help bring the shop to the next level.

It’s nice to be able to walk into a good book shop and look around for new books to read. This little book shop has a wide selection of book to suit anyone’s interests. There are also lots of board games and jigsaws for kids and adults. The children’s selection has a good range for all ages and lots of super cute soft toys. They have their own cool linen reusable shopping bag on sell.

When we visit Blackheath we tend to come into this bookshop. My daughter is always busy searching for something new. This time she left with this book. Like most children (and people) my daughter has particular interests. One of the assistants was very helpful in selecting some books to suit her interests.

It is on a parade of different shops, with parking behind, or in the station carpark over the road. It can get a bit crowded close to the till station, but different classes of goods are well signposted both on the ground floor and down the stairs.

This isn't a branch of Waterstones, but the independent book store called 'Blackheath Bookshop'. It is housed in an absolutely gorgeous period building. I like the handwritten review cards which are rather like Waterstones - er, perhaps it really is a branch of that august chain?

Always a great experience in Waterstones. Plenty of options and you can find a great service anytime.
