Wellfield Bookshop

Very nice small bookstore. I enjoyed being here as I have had a good parking spot. Good luck with that. They are spoiling the kids with very interesting books and of course the mothers. I fund very interesting things like notebooks with already tipped things to do. Very expensive diaries for the next year. All prices over 14£ and a big A4 herbs catalog very thick and with quality paper 22£ . I’ll get back for the catalog for sure.

A fairly good selection but not extensive. They out some great displays and themes together. Good kids book selection and many modern releases. Hey in there and buy something to support your local bookshop.

I love this place and probably buy 90% of my books there.
The balance I buy elsewhere if Wellfield doesn’t have something in stock and I need it quickly.
They cannot store every book for every customer and when after something specific I sometimes have to order. However books come in quickly and I get a phone call from one of the lovely staff members to let me know.
And the staff are great. They are friendly and helpful book lovers.

Woman was one of the rudest and most unhelpful and unpleasant people to interact with. Her manners and sales approach really does come into question. I suspect she gives preferential treatment to her own way in kind and that is her loss.

I was upmost disappointed in my first and last visit to this bookstore and I have no intention of ever returning to be treated so poorly.

I found the woman to be disinterested in making any sale and more preoccupied in the computer. The store was completely empty when my nephew and I visited on a sunny afternoon. After enquiring about books on the display she was not interested in actually communicating what books were on offer. She just stood at the end of the store shouting and I could not hear what she was saying. Asking her to repeat herself several times I found her attitude to be quite something else. Surely when a person has clearly said they can not hear you and is asking a child to relay what has been said you’d have the intuition that the person is deaf? Evidently for this woman, clearly not. As her actions quite literally spoke louder than words!

There was a lovely selection of books on sale and we had a genuine interest in them, however I will not buy from a rotten bookworm who lacks curtesy, respect and general manners.

Staff are friendly and very responsive to book requests. A book was made available very quickly within a week.
