A great place for bowling, better than the Cardiff branch which I found to have bad bowling balls. The area has lots of free parking and the facilities are clean and nicely kept. The actual bowling is slightly laid back and not as professional as other local establishments, but a great amount of fun. The bar is great and has lots to choose from, and the arcade is decent but crazily has no 2P machines! Gods above! All in all it is a good place for a day out in Cwmbran.

Bowling here was good, reasonably priced but not the best bowling alley I've been too. A good few of the arcade machines were turned off and tenpins are on string not the old fashioned method. The bowling alley got "confused" at times and messed up the pattern to which we were bowling, very odd!

Fun bowling with arcades, pool tables, a bar and food. We only played a game but was fun. Miss the 2p machines in the arcade, generally everything is £1 a play....not a cheap night out with a few little people. Clean and tidy though, no complaints.

the bowling game was amazing, however when it came to ordering our food and drinks. the drinks were made with hot water and the waiter stuck his finger in my siblings drink. the food time wasn't as long of a wait as we thought, but we were slightly disappointed with my my brother and sisters burger as the cheese looked that that. waiters and booking lady were lovely. would recommend going to the games but skip the food.

Respectable bowling alley, kind of cramped and not many ball choices but decent service from staff and quick food and drink delivery to lanes. The bar has a good range of alcoholic beverages available and also slushies. The arcade has the generic arcade machines along with a big Minecraft dungeons game which is cool. Decent day out.

It's not often I am compelled to writing a review on a Saturday morning but the experience I had with friends recently I feel warrants the effort.

We were a party of nine. Seven adults and 2 children. It was a celebration for our friends 19-year-old daughter's birthday. We booked two lanes to enjoy two games of bowling.

I think the above paragraph already shows that even in times of hardship, the cost of living crisis that is felt across the country we still chose to spend a substantial amount of money for an enjoyable evening at the venue.

Our main issue was the total lack of inexperience of the bar staff. The staff in general all seemed incredibly young with no noticeable management on hand to hear the mumblings and raised conversations of disgruntled customers. We queued patiently like some poorly organised 3 star all inclusive hotel while staff members who outnumbered customers struggled with most simple requests.

"Can I have a glass of lemonade" ... "We don't sell lemonade, we have lemon tonic" came the reply. A customer pointed to the lemonade pump. 'Oh yeah', the young staff member remarked.

At £4.05 a pint of Budweiser I don't think it is too much to ask that a customer receives a full pint. However, on every single occasion despite all offers of advice from waiting customers the staff appeared to battle hopelessly with the dreaded Budweiser pump serving up overly frothing 'pints'. On one occasion the young female staff member just said 'I can't do it' and stormed off.

The Budweiser on pretty much every occasion was poured in intervals while a wooden coffee stick was used to scrape away excess froth. Totally unacceptable and probably unhygienic to say the least.

I dreaded my trip to the bar.

Staff are under qualified and inexperienced.

This tarnished our evening.

I feel I will not be visiting the venue again. I would also go as far as saying I would actually actively dissuade others from going too.

Waste of money.

We attended Cwmbran bowing centre this evening (Christmas eve). There was a power cut. I understand this is out of the control of the staff but the way it was handled was shocking. We waited 45 minutes for our line to re start (everyone else was enjoying playing) twice I asked if it would be re started and was told someone would be over to look but no one turned up. I asked if we could have a refund or a free game but was told no. We walked out in the end but it really put a damper on what should of been a lovely evening with family. Again I understand that a power cut can't be helped but the staff should be trained to deal with these matters. Definitely put us off booking again.
