This would be a five star review however the service was a wee bit slow. Taking this aside, the food was simple but delicious and the staff were very friendly and courteous. Our son has allergies which they accommodated efficiently and without question. This is one of two restaurants available on this hotel and by far the better. Pretty awful. Extremely expensive - this would probably be 2 for £10 in most pubs. That would be a fair price. £18 for an overcooked pieminster pie, dry mash and tasteless peas. My daughter had the children's buffet. There were no fries, we had all finished our meal by the time the fries had arrived. Trapped and ripped off.
