Came for Sunday lunch (on Mothering Sunday). Kept waiting for over an hour during a quiet period. Food arrived mostly cold (only the gravy was warm), beef was barely edible, potatoes were half burnt (pictured). Bar staff back talked me when I said it was taking so long.

Update - review upgraded from 1* to 2* because the bill was comped as an apology but it doesn't make up for the wasted time and ruined Mother's Day.

Very nice beer, loads of choice and friendly staff. A little slow on the drinks orders to table through the app but no biggie. Had a few bits to eat, no complaints with the food. Prices were standard for the area.

Best place for a beer or two. Lots of choices and food is amazing. We were served by Alex and he was the best. He helped us choose beers and served us happily. Cauliflower wings are the best thing to try but generally vegan options look quite good . Surprised to find Kernel Jack on the tap usually available in selected pubs in London. Definitely go again if I happen to visit Cheltenham again.

Myself and partner went for a gin tasting experience, bought for us as a gift. It was brilliant we tried 5 gins with nutty nibbles. We were taught about the history of gin and what to pair different gins with etc

The experience was made extra spiecal by or server Jess, she was a fountain of knowledge, friendly and so easy to get along with, it was like sitting with an old friend.

Worst Christmas party experience we've ever booked for our small business.

Paid £250 to cater for 20 - which was served on just 6 dinner plates. Bruschetta wasn't even cooked and actually frozen in the middle, straight from Iceland it seems. Received about a fifth of the amount of food required - the £250 price for this was obscene, horrific and embarrassing - for 6 plates, two of them chips.

Then told it was last orders at 10.30pm, no interest in ensuring guests feel welcome or valued at all.

Such an awful experience we won't even return for a pint. Shame as we had a brilliant Christmas party here in 2019, with huge, generously portioned catering trays of hot food, which is why we booked now, but quality has fallen off a cliff while charging more!

Currently awaiting refund to process, but that doesn't mitigate the total embarrassment of the situation in front of our clients, absolute cringe.

Honestly cannot believe they tried to take £250 of our small business income for this, shameful.

Been there on a Thursday evening without a booking, nice enough cause we sat outside and caught up with friends. The food was nice however I ordered Mac&Cheese with bacon bits and jalapeños but they did not have jalapeños (someone came to the table and apologised for this) - it was on the tip of my tongue to say Tesco is just round the corner surely you can purchase a jar of jalapeños from there ….
Anyway since we used the App to order online, customer service was downhill as they don’t really care anymore! Nobody even checked back to see if everything is alright with the food! When the waiter brought the drinks over he asked us to take them from the tray so he doesn’t touch the glasses but then if you think about it… who placed them on the tray first instance :))) , that didn’t make sense at all
My husband ordered the double cheeseburger however the patty I believe was cut in two (were extremely thin)
Very small portions if you consider those as mains!

Great ales brewed on site, fresh as. Good portions of tapas/small dishes, enjoyed the chorizo & calamari especially.

Really enjoyed the food. The craft beer was very smooth and comfortable seats! We had the sharing platters, and then chicken burger and Mac and cheese. All really tasty! Def worth a visit if you're in Cheltenham.
