Went shopping for my wedding dress on Saturday. The whole experience was luxurious, yummy nibbles and drinks, all the attention on you. Jenna was lovely and really put me at ease, helping me narrow down the choices and find what worked for me. Felt really relaxed and like you could take your time, ended up choosing the dress on my first appointment! Really excited to try it on again when my order comes in! Couldn't recommend them enough.

From start to finish my experience with The Wedding Shop was perfection.
Angie was a pure delight and she made every visit to the shop feel so personal and lovely. I can not thank The Wedding Shop enough for helping me find my dream dress for my big day!

Thank you to Jenna, Angie and Sophie who were nothing but amazing the whole way through - especially given the short notice to find a dress. Jenna was brilliant at helping me enjoy the process again and helping me work out what suited me. She was really supportive and friendly and never made me feel pressured, even when I alternated between my two final choices about 4 times. She even found me the most gorgeous veil to go with the dress.

Angie was brilliant at both the initial appointment and the fittings. Due to the distance travelled, once I’d finally decided on the dress, she managed to fit me back in that afternoon to get started on fitting the dress. Then at the final fitting appointment, she really took time to explain to us how to put the dress on properly, how to store and transport it, and how to do the bustle. She was very reassuring and I really can’t thank her and Jenna enough.

The Wedding Shop totally went above what I could have expected of them given the situation and they put all my worries at ease and now I can’t wait to put the dress on again!

What a wonderful welcome we had at the wedding shop whilst looking for Mother of the Bride and Mother of the Groom outfits. Delighted that we both found our perfect outfits and completely them with fabulous hats too. We travelled over an hour to Colchester and we were so pleased we did! The whole experience was amazing and we will recommend the wedding shop to all our friends. Susie and the whole team were fantastic and made the whole experience thoroughly enjoyable. Thank you!

So originally I booked to have a bridal consultation here on a whim. The Wedding Shop looked simply elegant and the wide variety of designers and dresses on the website reinforced that, I honestly didn’t think that I would fit in and find anything that would match my personality and body shape.
I was blown away when I first walked in, and was introduced immediately to my consultant Jenna who was very kind and friendly. My friend and I were taken upstairs where we were taken into a very bright and spacious private fitting room and waiting area with the 5 dresses I had preselected prior to my appointment ready and waiting.
Jenna was extremely patient with me as I didn’t have a design in mind but had some ideas on different styles. It was very quick to see after trying on my first selected dresses that I had fallen in love with a firm favourite. Jenna helped with this by allowing me to keep going back to trying the dress on after I had tried on a couple others, just so I could make sure that my heart was in the right place on the favourite.
Based on my likes and dislikes of other dresses, Jenna selected a couple more for me to try which were all equally stunning in their own way. However I could just not keep away from my original favourite! After trying it on for the last time, Jenna helped me to style it with different variations of vales and accessories to make the dress my own, it was clear that I had found the perfect dress that I hadn’t even known I was after.
Very quickly after this, I ‘Said yes to the dress!’, and we toasted to the celebration.
My measurements were taken and I was told about all the processes of ordering times, alterations and extra fitting appointments. Jenna took her time to thoroughly explain everything to me and she couldn’t have been more perfect throughout the whole process. Thank you so much to The Wedding Shop and especially to Jenna for being extremely patient and making my dream wedding dress come true!

Amazing! From start to finish we had amazing service and I am so happy with my dress. It looked beautiful on the day. The staff were all so helpful and supportive during the entire process and I couldn't have asked for anything more. My mum also purchased her mother of the bride outfit and it looked amazing. I would 100% recommend the wedding shop.

From my first appointment, to collecting my dress and then dropping my dress off for boxing and dry cleaning, the whole experience was absolutely amazing and they made me feel incredible at every appointment. I bought my wedding dress from the Wedding Shop in April for my wedding in September 2021 and couldn’t have been happier with the service! I wasn’t able to go dress shopping earlier due to Covid restrictions and was worried about finding something I loved.
The amazing team at the wedding shop put me at ease straight away and supported me through the whole process. I had a few wobbles along the way and Angie was so kind, patient and helpful and didn’t stop until I was completely happy with my dress (the in-house tailors/seamstresses are magicians!). I can’t tell you how much I appreciate everything you all did to make sure I felt amazing but most importantly ‘myself’ in my dress. Thank you!! Michaela xx
