Bridal Couture by Josephine

Josephine is absolutely lovely. And all the other ladies who wrk there. So warming, drinks on arrival and really help you find that perfect dress. Highly recommend, georgous dress's and stunning shop

I am shocked and very disappointed with the service offered by Joesphine Couture.

I booked a bridal appointment (my first ever one!) on a Friday, where my plan was to take a day off work and travel up from London with my maid of honour (my parents live locally).

I get a call 2 hours before my appointment, while we are already on the train, to say they are having to cancel due to a personal emergency. That is fine, I am human and I get people have emergency issues crop up. This is not my problem

What is NOT however fine is the rude voicemail I was left!!! During the middle of the call, my signal failed because I was travelling by train, so I did not have the chance to finish the conversation. I then regained signal to find a rude, and downright disgraceful voicemail from the bridal salon, saying they were upset and shocked I had hung up and that all I cared about was my appointment!!

Like I said, people have personal emergencies and that is fine. What is NOT fine is calling up a potential client, who has been cancelled on last minute for her first bridal appointment, just to berate them for something they didn't do, and to judge them for bad behaviour they didn't do! In my mind this is disgraceful customer service. I would not recommend this shop - if they treat customers they have let down like this, who knows how they treat customers the rest of the time!!

My daughter found her perfect dress this week at Bridal Couture. Maria was very helpful and welcoming. Charlotte was allowed to try on what she wanted in a variety of styles and price ranges, nothing was too much trouble. I would definately recommend a visit from the welcoming drinks on arrival to the celebration drinks when we left. Thank you Maria for making this a memorable experience for my daughter, myself and her bridesmaids. We now have an absolutely beautiful dress for her wedding day.

This was not the great wedding dress shopping experience that we had imagined. We came into the shop and were told to take a seat, we were then left waiting for ages and were not sure what we should be doing. We were finally seen to and were asked to select dresses to try. After picking out a few we were then told that certain ones wouldn't be ok to try as they were too small (seemed very strange that you'd only stock size 8 dresses in a lot of styles). The way it was said came across really rude and not the sort of customer service a bride is looking for. We were then told that more dresses would be coming in the summer but then said it would be too late for us to look at those. Overall it wasn't a pleasant experience and wouldn't recommend it.

Had a lovely time picking my wedding dress today. So helpful and welcoming I felt like a princess and the fizz after just topped it off. Thank you so much xx

Thank you for an enjoyable time choosing my wedding dress which is absolutely beautiful. Josephine was very helpful, kind and patient and made us feel at home. The salon is lovely and very inviting too.

We had the most wonderful time at Bridal Couture a few weeks ago. Josie & Marie were amazing, nothing was too much trouble. They made us feel more than welcome. The shop is beautiful, and the choice was amazing, they cater for every budget and have a variety of different styles. I would fully recommend them to all brides to be. 💞.... thanks ladies, loved the topic of conversation also 😉 xxx

The biggest thank you to Josephine & Marie for helping me to find THE dress. I've always heard people say that 'when you know you know' but wasn't sure I believed it would happen. I went to a number of shops and tried over 20 dresses on getting it down to 2 from 2 different shops. I managed to organise trying them both on in the same day and I knew when I got butterflies in my dress from Josephine's that it was the one. It really was my perfect dress (and veil!). The trying on experience with Josephine was one I won't ever forget. Thank you so much!
