The Wedding Room

Still on a high after buying my dress from The Wedding Room yesterday! On my first visit, Lucie welcomed us all and made me feel really comfortable, bringing out lots of options and listening carefully to my feedback each time. She was really patient and wasn’t pushy when I said I wasn’t 100% sure as it was my first dress try-on, and encouraged me to take my time. After some further reflection, we returned about 10 days later and it was so exciting and so easy to go back and sign on the dotted line to get my dress!! Thanks for all your help!

Over the last 3 years, Lucy and Mary have been absolutely amazing at supporting me through all the crazy postponements and changes to our wedding!

My mum and I first visited in June 2019 and Lucy immediately put us both at ease. I didn't really know what I wanted, and had no idea what would suit my body shape but Lucy quickly got to know my style and let me try on loads of different dresses with no pressure.

The first dress I went for was a sample dress and was a total bargain that we didn't want to miss out on, however after a second visit, we decided it wasn't the one. On that same appointment Lucy asked 'Please can I make a suggestion?', she picked out a stunning, beaded, Boho Lillian West dress and as soon as I put it on I felt happy, confident and comfortable!

I'd like to say that was 'The One' and it sort of was... I bought the dress, had the alterations made and it was hanging in my spare room ready for our wedding. But unfortunately, we got to 3 days before the wedding and then had to postpone again, and during our 2021 postponement and 2022 final wedding date I fell pregnant.
I was going to be 28 weeks pregnant at our wedding and despite Lucy and Mary's best efforts, we couldn't find a way to make the dress work for my bump, so it was back to the drawing baord.

Again, Lucy and Mary were amazing, my mum and I couldn't fault their knowledge and patience. They were the only shop that we felt confident were showing us realistic options which would accommodate my bump and not just trying to make some money from us. Mary picked a gorgeous Stella York gown, not a style I would usually have gone for, but I am SO happy that I did. I felt fantastic on our wedding day, something I really didn't expect being so heavily pregnant, and the alterations made by Samantha meant my dress not only felt comfortable on my bump, but from certain angles I hardly even looked pregnant!

I cannot thank Lucy and Mary enough for every thing they have done for me over the last 3 years. They are SO MUCH MORE than a wedding dress shop and will go to every effort to make sure you are 100% happy with your dress.

Had the most amazing experience with the ladies at the wedding room. Lucy made myself and my bridal party feel so welcome on our original visit and we had such fun trying dresses on. I brought my dress on the day and it was the 1st shop I'd been to. Exactly 10 months before my wedding and with the dress already brought I fell pregnant. Both Mary and Lucy were wonderful at ridding me of all the worries I had regarding my dress. Talking me through all the options I would have available. After some very last minute alterations it looked amazing and fitted perfectly. I received so many compliments regarding the dress on the day. And I just want to thank you ladies for the whole experience from start to finish and for keeping all my worries to an absolute minium. You were both stars. Thank you so so much! 💓

I had the best experience at The Wedding Room. I bought a dress in 2019 for my wedding the following year, due to my wedding being postponed until 2022 I ended up going back to The Wedding Room and buying a new dress at the end of 2021 as the style I originally picked was for a July wedding in Spain but the wedding moved to April in Spain and so I didn't need such a summery dress with straps and could go for something more my style. Throughout the whole process Mary and Lucy were so helpful and reassuring when things went so wrong in the pandemic. Their dresses are beautiful and they also stock lots of lovely accessories such as the hair pins I wore.

I send all my friends to the wedding room and they usually find the one! I had the best experience there. Didn't expect to buy my dress but felt so comfortable and found the one with the help of the wonderful Lucy. Great after service too. Never too much bother when I wanted to try my dress on millions of times!!! Amazing shop xxxx

The wedding room was the second shop I visited after recommendations from friends. The whole experience of my first visit was magical. As I walked towards the gorgeous little boutique, I was greeted with a cute little chalk board welcoming me (such a personal touch); my mum, godmum and I were then greeted with a smile and a glass of bubbly. I was immediately drawn to THE dress but I didn't know it at the time. Lucy and Mary gave us time to peruse at our leisure before getting down to business. My only regret is trying the dress that "caught my eye" on second. It was a winner and all I could think of was that dress and wanting to put it back on. I didn't choose there and then because I'm not decisive but eventually I realised nothing else would match the dress and mum and I went back to seal the deal. I had accessories I wanted to try and for Lucy and Mary, this was never an issue- they allowed me to go back to try different things throughout the year.
Because I had friends who had chosen their dresses from the wedding room, Lucy and Mary ensured we did not go for the same thing (one friend getting married only a month before me) and were very discrete.

Highly recommend the wedding room for that true wedding dress experience. If only I could do it all again ❤️

Sorry ladies for posting this so late, you know what I'm like!
My experience at The Wedding Room was amazing. After a dreadful experience at Wed2B, I started to think I would never find a dress to fit my curvier shape, and never in a million years thought I would feel confident in it if I did! But as soon as I walked into my appointment with Lucy, she made me feel at ease and excited (not something I usually feel when it comes to looking at myself in a mirror). The experience was effortless and Lucy made me feel beautiful throughout. Their selection of dresses is gorgeous and, luckily for me, they were having a sample sale so my dress was a bargain.
Would hugely recommend.

I just can’t thank Mary and Lucy enough for helping me find the most beautiful dress but not only that, giving me the most perfect experience. They are both such genuine people who feel your excitement with you. They helped me find all my accessories which all worked in harmony. They then helped with alterations, ensuring my dress was perfect for the day.
