Such an amazing place. Love the range of quirky, unique dresses for every bridal style and budget. Every part of the service was amazing, great communication and really understood what I was looking for. Wholly recommend. After 2 days of samey, generic dresses that have been seen a thousand times before, finding 'The Dress' at Frock Spot was awesome. Thank you!

When it came to buying my wedding dress, I was so well taken care of at The Frock Spot! Thanks both for helping me find exactly what I wanted. I would recommend you to everyone, especially people looking for tea length

Have ordered my 1950's inspired dress for my August wedding on Canada. Fantastic service from mum and daughter team who run this amazing shop. Every potential bride, bridesmaid should visit Frock Spot. Their selection is fabulous and very well priced. Mother of the bride would do well here as would any lady looking for a dress for a special occasion.

I am writing this review due to my disappointment in the moral in this story. I visited the frock shop
on a Saturday afternoon, was greeted with a very warm and friendly welcome. I tried on several
dresses of varying designs and sizes. After much deliberation I decided to order one of the dresses.
The lady in charge was very thorough to point out the terms of order which I duly signed.
Later that evening after much thought I felt the dress I had ordered wasn’t the one for me for my
daughters wedding. I emailed the shop that same Saturday evening saying that I would like to cancel
the order and that I would call on Monday morning, requesting a refund of my deposit. Monday
morning, I received an email stating I couldn’t cancel as the dress had been ordered and I had signed
the terms of contract. I found it hard to believe that the dress had already been ordered, so I called
the dress manufacturer who told me it hadn’t been ordered and they do not take orders over the
weekend. I tried again to plead with the better nature of the owner to on this occasion, as the dress
hadn’t been ordered to refund my deposit to no avail. She did offer to let me try on other styles and
choose something else. I would fully understand if the dress had been ordered and she couldn’t
cancel. But I do not believe this to be the case and am so disappointed that she wouldn’t do the right
thing and refund my my deposit, sadly no morals.

Due to unforeseen circumstances of the groom to be illness I had to cancel my wedding.
I cancelled the dresses in June, I was told these dresses were not in production then but would still have to pay the outstanding balance and collect them once made.
Since then I’ve had various phone calls, letters threatening to take me to court over the balance of £142.50. I suggested they re-sell the dresses in store and never once asked for any money back, however they persisted this is not their terms of business. Every business I have cancelled with have been understanding but I found these to be not so. Because I signed a piece of paper they think that is the law. I tried to appeal to their better nature of how much money I have lost in this process and the circumstances I have found myself in to no avail. Be careful when you sign their ‘terms and conditions’. And make sure you are sure with the dress you want, also make sure your bride/groom doesn’t become ill in the process because this company has no etiquette in customer service skills, they simply do not care and just want the money.
It’s unfortunate I had to be forced to leave a review because now I am stuck with 3 dresses that I need to sell which are of beautiful quality.
Safe to say I won’t be using this shop in the future.

I thought long and hard about leaving a review as don't like to be negative, however I felt the need to be honest and show others the experience I had.
I understand that Covid has changed usual procedures however when I went to the frock spot it was extremely ott. When myself and my party came into the shop we were made to stand behind a line and all wear gloves. I wasn't able touch the dresses despite being allowed to try them on?
You weren't allowed to take photos which I understand the reasoning behind, however makes it extremely difficult to remember the dress after trying multiple on (this isn't standard procedure for bridal shops as have been able to take photos in other designer bridal shops).
I felt the owners were uncomfortably pushy and when ever I stated I'll have a coffee and think they made strange remarks like "that won't be here later" or "we're selling everything really quickly so you need to be quick". I felt there was next to no conversation or general chit chat which made my friends feel awkward and unable to speak as worried they'd ruin the silence. (Although Amy was definitely far more "chatty" than the other lady).
Also, they don't have any clips so if you're too small for the dress one of the owners has to stand behind you to hold it which is awkward if you're trying to walk around.
Admittedly some of the dresses are nice (especially during this retirement sale) and the display is pleasant also but overall the experience and atmosphere wasn't ideal compared to ALL the other bridal shops I had since been too.

I wanted a specific dress and this shop were the only stockists. When I tried it on, it didn’t suit me. Amy and Kate knew what to do. They let me try on others that I liked but again didn’t suit me. They then pulled out a tea length dress that I wouldn’t even have looked twice at and just said ‘try it’. It was amazing, I finally felt like a bride. They know their stuff, you tell them a style you want and they know what dress would suit you. I also wanted to order a dress much smaller than I am because I had a while before the wedding. They talked to me about this and between us we compromised. I’m so glad they did this. When it came to my fitting on Saturday, I was dreading it as I didn’t think I had lost enough weight. It did up and actually needs taking in a bit. If I’d ordered the size I wanted to, I would have been crying on Saturday as it wouldn’t have fitted me. Listen to these ladies, they live in the real world and won’t just do what you want if they know your setting yourself unrealistic targets. I also want to add that in the midst of a great sadness of losing their beloved husband/dad, they remained professional and kept my appointment and also went on to do a wedding show that weekend, true professionals. I did visit other bridal shops local to me in Ipswich prior to visiting The Frock Spot and was not giving any of the help that Amy and Kate gave me. In one shop I was asked not to touch the dresses, in another they followed me around saying ‘nothing here will fit you’!! I have sung the praises of The Frock Spot to everyone I talk to about my wedding. It was worth the train journeys to Norwich. Thank you ladies so much, I love my dress and can’t wait to wear it in May. Much love xxxxx

Thank you The Frock Spot for helping us find the perfect dress for our special day. I know my fiancée was anxious about finding a dress, so your patience, relaxed and helpful manner helped greatly.

Even though Covid-19 restrictions are limiting everyone’s day-to-day life, your attention to social distancing and keeping items clean, was reassuring, but it did not detract from this important purchase.

Thank you again, we would be more than happy to recommend you to everyone.
