I loved the padlocks on the bridge, lots of colours and different designs! I may be a romantic but expression of emotion is a lovely thing to see.

A distinctive narrow footbridge spanning a little harbour full of moored sailing boats and canal boats. Very busy, a bit springy to walk on, decorated with padlocks, obviously a popular spot with buskers (a man playing an accordion when I was there). Great views and photo opportunities but it was not a relaxed stroll across as you constantly have to watch out for fast cyclists coming in both directions. But it's in an attractive area with lots of cafes, bars and restaurants along the waterfront. Loved the lively atmosphere!

It's an interesting design bridge I know it lifts but have never actually seen it lift up it's a nice place to get some good photos or stand and look up towards the waterfall steps especially when the sun is shining off of it.
I enjoy walking across and seeing all the locks and often see people reading the locks and trying to find the oldest one on there.
I have known this bridge most of my life and although it's a great design I never really looked in to it it was basically just another bridge but all the locks as made it popular and brings people to it I actually went to see all the locks and it got me interested so I looked in to the design of the bridge and found out quite a bit it's nice to see the bridge with the locks and allows people to become interested and like myself look in to its background

What an intriguing metaphor this bridge presents. Spanning between quays (sic) and yet so many locks that couldn't be opened! I'm reminded of the word's of The Lord Jesus Christ ... 'I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.' (The Bible. Revelation.1v18) He open's up life's possibilities.

Arnolfini Harbour side cafe-bar has tables beside the water. Bristol Beer Factory beer is amazing and food is available here too, didn't try it but looked good. Outside you were also able to have dogs.

Historic bridge designed to honour a West Africa slave who lived in Bristol. Unfortunately, people don’t know that history but decided to create a home for lovelocks which is honestly so insulting and disrespectful.
