Pretty small and dated branch, but I usually do all my banking online so rarely have to pop in. Service has been OK each I have had to visit.

Always address me by my Christian name, despite past complaints.

Dress code too lax.

Worcester in branch assistance & Livechat service.
I'd been struggling to contact a team within Nationwide to resolve an issue, the only contact given being a phone number within office hours. I eventually went into the Worcester branch where I met branch their assistant, Darren, who really couldn't have been more helpful, patient & understanding. He was able to call the team internally & an issue that had been going on for months was resolved then & there, in one visit! The night before I'd used the 24hr Livechat service to check if I could just go into a branch; the assistant I chatted to, Layla, went above & beyond, not only giving constructive advice about being able to visit a branch, what information to take with me, along with a reminder to take some ID, but also offered to email the branch a summary of our conversation so I wouldn't have to explain all over again, & when I arrived at the branch they were expecting me. It's easy to think of branches as buildings that hold the ATMs but there are people in there happy to help in any way they can; you don't have to struggle along on your own, pop into a branch, save your personal time & get immediate help with any issues or queries.
