I phoned up to ask about their policy in accepting old pound coins, the chap I guess called “Chris” was so friendly over the phone that not only I walked in but switched my current account after he explained how else I could gain. Everyone was friendly. I am glad to have them in the community. Branch manager is a cool chap too. All the best.

This branch has recently been refurbished and has lots of services available. ATM outside is convenient and staff seem really friendly

Visited with my wife to withdraw holiday money. Arrogant guy on desk was unfriendly had no customer service skills until money handed over.seemed overzealous with security questions asking far too many.( Not that my wife couldn't answer them) and was not interested in seeing additional ID. We want our money safe but we want it without being made to feel like fraudsters. I thought it was borderline racist.

I made a quick visit for a simple transaction: a deposit to my current account. At the counter, I informed the member of staff of my intent to make a deposit. He asked whether I wanted to do this at the ATM, and I politely declined, insisting on doing this at the counter. Thus, he went about making my deposit for me. Throughout the whole procedure, which took only approximately 3 minutes, he continued to grumble and mutter under his breath about making a deposit at the ATM. He was clearly unwilling and reluctant, and displayed a highly unprofessional attitude towards customer service.

The service I requested could indeed be performed at the ATM. Yet, I am this bank's client, and I have politely requested to conduct this service at the counter. Instead of generously and willingly accommodating a reasonable request from a customer, this employee made me feel unwelcome, as if my needs as a customer caused him great inconvenience. This treatment left me feeling that Nationwide is narrow-minded and unwilling to take even one extra step towards customer satisfaction.

I visited the branch one morning without an appointment as some banking documents became known to me last minute, for an official application due that same afternoon. The representative who spoke with me was Tarkan, who was professional, helpful - a breathe of fresh air compared to other official and commercial personnels I've had to deal with that week. He helped produce as many documents as he could to meet my documentation requirements. I've just had a successful application outcome for the matter! Much thanks to Tarkan I'd say. :) The branch is super swish and you get served in a 'coffee shop' setting (can't remember but I think they did offer proper coffee, too!), very interesting banking style.

Brilliant experience today! I walked in wanting to open a savings account and the guy (I don't know his name otherwise I would have out it here) was amazing! He answered all my questions critically and explained to me in deep detail about all the savings accounts avaliable and was advising me which would be suitable for myself. The customer service is brilliant and I felt very welcome here! The branch was clean and smelt amazing! Very fresh and airy with a modern and futuristic atmosphere and design! All staff are wearing some form of PPE and social distancing measures are strictly in place. Honestly, the best Nationwide branch I've walked into! If anyone from the head office reads this please do not close down this branch! Since now banking has pretty much gone online, high street branches are closing down but please don't close this branch! My only advice would be to Nationwide as a whole is to try and give cards with all savings accounts as like many others I don't feel my money is secure without getting to physically see and feel it through a card. Please Nationwide introduce cards on as many savings account as possible because the only savings account you can get a card with is the Instant access saver issue 7. Overall, I strongly recommend this Natwest branch to you! It is also conveniently located between Aldgate Station and Fenchurch Street Station. Aldgate East Station isn't far away too!

Very bad customer service! The people at the desk should be helpful and patient and they are not. They are rude and loud and they don't care about customers. UNBELIEVABLE !!! We were there on Wednesday the 4th of May 2022 between 2pm -2:30pm and the lady at the desk was so rude and loud and didn't want to help at all. When I told her why she is so loud and rude to my husband she replied this is how she speaks. She should be fired! This is not acceptable. I don't know her name as she didn't have a name tag. But this is not how we customers should be treated!

The lady on the counter this morning (I didn't get her name) was so nice. Really efficent and friendly.
