Old Colwyn Ship Inn

This place has everything: Bedrooms galore, that will be adjusted to double or twin upon request, a bunk room for the kids that includes books and games, a well-equipped kitchen with enough seating for everyone, two lounges (each with their own TV and one with an additional projector), a pool table, table tennis, games, books, blankets and throws. It's an old building but has been fitted out really nicely, there's plenty of parking around the back and dogs are allowed downstairs. There's a Co-op opposite, an Aldi five minutes' walk away, take-away pizza just down the road and no fewer than four pubs within a stone's throw. It seems expensive but when you work it out per person per night, it's really not expensive at all and you get so much thrown in as well. I'd definitely recommend this to any large group from an extended family to a stag party.

Did anyone else Not get their security deposit back? Landlord claimed a bunch of random things were stolen and then ghosted us when we questioned it.
Other than that it was good value for money. Good for a large party.

A few annoyances like: tv downstairs never worked, cooker didn’t work well (had a hard time turning the oven gas off). Shower up stairs was cold and clearly the restoration of the place was rushed to start making money.

In summary. Wouldn't go back but had a nice time while we were there.

Our stag party stayed here and it is an amazing venue in a small town with all the facilities you could need.
Rooms are spacious and comfortable games area great touch, fantastic projector for watching movies or sport.
Fantastic local bus service to nearby other towns which is cheap and reliable.
Good sized private car park
All in all a great venue for large group bookings

Stayed for a week in August to celebrate my daughters 16th birthday with family and friends. We had a fantastic time, great location with everything you need provided. Everyone is trying to figure a reason to go back and do it again. We had a slight problem with one of the showers leaking and the Owner and maintenance team very responsive and fixed very quickly, great service!

We booked what is our last big family holiday due to 3 od us having major health issues with my dad's brothers and family, we picked wales as my dad always wanted to go to Wales but sadly passed away last year at this time so was really important for us to be together at this time. We picked the ship inn on on sykes cottages as the pictures looked fab and could cater for 14 adults and 1 infants and location is brilliant, well what a huge disappointment the place is filthy and all the photos on fb, sykes are dated we had to clean the fridges which one had big chunks out the inside and had to clean it out before putting things into them, no carpets down stairs in any of the bedrooms, livingroom and kitchen, we have had leaking since day one into the kitchen dining area from the bathroom upstairs dripping into the electrics scary, the bedroom furniture stink of dampness it's just awful that some of the family left early and we paid over £2500 all 14 adults not happy 😡 I should say that we have a 16 mth toddler and 3 disabled people at the property 1 being me who is on oxygen 24/7 and has it running in this dangerous house

The showers didn't work it was not clean we had to clean it ourselves the owner was rude to us never come here again

Had a wonderful stay for my friends Stag. Owner was lovely and the house is incredible. Lots to do in the house with pool table/shuffle board/projector. Very close to the beach and loads of pubs/shops nearby. Would recommend!
