Judge for yourself from this story. Had yesterday today with my wife. Two toasties, 2 cokes, and 2 bags of crisps. 15 pounds. I paid by credit card and asked for a paper receipt. The clerk prints a receipt and carefully tears away the individual items listing and hands me the part with only the total amount - 15 pounds - no business name was on the paper either. I sit down and I ponder . . . hmmm . . . small town, 15 pounds for a simple lunch, seems pricey.
So I go back to the counter, and ask how much were the sandwiches. 3 pounds 50 is the answer (as I recall). I comment, I don't think this totals up right. The clerk opens the order on the register, ponders for a moment, and says, "Oh, I charged you for 4 cokes." In the end, I'm not certain the "adjusted" amount was correct. Very suspicious chain of events. My takeaway . . . for whatever reason he decided to charge these visitors "extra." I may be mistaken, but suggest you be careful at this establishment. Beyond this moment, our trip to Wales has been a delight.
