The perfect place to start the exploration of the rich history surrounding slate mining in Llanberris. From the car park, the path runs past some fantastic ruins of working buildings and houses. There are many deep quarry pits to marvel and and stunning views of Snowdon. A torch is recommended for the small areas of tunnels, if one feels inclined to explore.
