Lakeside Country Club

WOW, what a great atmosphere in this great venue. We visited for the quarter finals of the Darts last Friday and what a great afternoon, the food was very reasonable and nice, the beer went down a treat, not too bad a price either £15 for a pitcher of Lager, free parking (our driver doesn't drink)(RESULT.. Oh and a well done to the security, good bunch of professionals, and very polite too, good communication skills shown.

I watched this darts tournament for many years from a young age. I know that the other tournament surpassed this one long ago in terms of quality. However, this is the one I'd always wanted to go to. I wasn't disappointed. The atmosphere here was incredible, boisterous but friendly and just great, great fun. I was also pleasantly surprised by the prices here. I hope to return for another tournament in the not too distant future.

Atmosphere was great but food was rank. Chips looked and tasted like they were a day old and reheated. Hot dog bun was stale and was hard even tho it had been soked with onion water when been constructed

A real throwback to a bygone age.

Luckily Lakeside is still in business and thanks to the darts they are still around. Home to D-List celebrities and showbands.

Plenty of parking on site.

On the 18th December the magnificent Boney M played the main room at Lakeside Country Club in Frimley Green.

This venue which is mainly known these days for the World Darts is coming back to life as one of the main Cabaret and show venues in the south of England.

Boney M played for 90minutes non-stop and the set included all of their hits from “Belfast” to “Mary’s Boy Child”.

Although the line up only has one of the original founding members (Maisie Williams) the rest of the line up hold their own and do not disappoint.

Finally I need to mention the band, yes that’s right!! not a backing track in sight. It was great to see Boney M performing with a live band, who made the night. These talented musicians completed the night just proving that live entertainment is very much alive and living at Lakeside in Frimley Green.

This place has been crying out for investment for to long. The toilets are some of the worst i have experienced. Its tired and worn and does not deserve to host the darts
