Fabulous traditional butcher's shop. Excellent, tasty 'Own ' pork sausages, very low fat, ( for followers of Slimming world guidelines, they count as free protein, I believe - check weights and measures:allowances with your online daily food diary)

Butchers own pork pies, sausage rolls, meat pies and pasties.

My immediate impression was a Scrupulously clean shop.

So rare to find an independent butcher.

Amazing quality and warm, friendly staff. This is the perfect example of why we should support our local butcher. I wish I could give 6 stars.

Went in today to buy some steak, I'm not very knowledgeable as I don't eat it a lot but the butcher was incredibly helpful and supplied me a great cut at a fantastic price which was delicious and fell apart as I ate it. Would 100% recommend

Really great local butchers, we love their sausages and burgers (you can pop them straight from frozen onto a BBQ, as advised by staff) and the staff are usually very friendly and super helpful.

However the last two times we went in we've had disappointing experiences with a different member of staff (hence only 4 stars). He seemed quite put out by serving us, and reluctant to tell us which items/flavours were available. He also told us BBQ season was over (at the beginning of August!) so he didn't have much of anything left, but would only elaborate on what he DID have left after both myself and my partner asked multiple times.

It was quite difficult to place our order without knowing what was available. Every time we asked for something he would either tell us it was out of stock or he didn't know how many he had left, and then he would just stare at us blankly. We had to actually prompt him to check what he COULD offer us to buy! Honestly we felt like our custom was unwanted, and he would rather we just left without buying anything. It's a shame because otherwise we would shop here much more often, but sometimes I just don't have the energy to persuade someone to take my money.

Excellent Butchers. Friendly staff. Pies are amazing!
