Love this place. Amazing quality, friendly and dedicated staff.

Rattrays: the standard of quality and service of which all other butchers are measured against! All of the staff are knowledgeable and friendly.
Should you require locally sourced meat of exceptional flavour, then Rob is the man. Just had a rib of Welsh Black beef, (the farm in Bow Street, about four miles away). Unparalleled flavour. Your Christmas turkey will be... what Christmas should taste like!
I've just had chorizo-style sosijes from Rob. Wonderful on their own or in a casserole. Last week Sheila, Rob's wife, recommended lamb chorizo sausages. Mind blowing! For the faint hearted, rest assured, the plain sausage are really great.
Chicken thighs, whole chicken, beef mince? This is the place to buy.
I've never thought of Rattray as being pricey, I don't think it is. I'm more interested in the quality.
Please don't buy all of the sausages, leave some for me!

Great fresh local products. Very friendly staff.

Stopped by to pick up some lamb cutlets, which I trickily wanted French trimmed. The butchers took an unbelievable amount of care to trim them how I wanted and ensure they were exactly to my preference. The cutlets were marbled beautifully and cooked up to be the best lamb I’ve ever had. Of course, eating lamb in Wales should be delicious but the quality of the meat from Rob’s is unrivalled and very thankful for such careful service!

We had lamb to day for a Sunday dinner with jersey royal new potatoes and proper Yorkshire puddings the lamb was tender and moist and tasty.Next time a visit Aberystwyth I will definitely by my meat from this butchers.
