One of the better butchers in this neck of the woods, with friendly staff and an excellent deli. If you are in the Talgarth area calling in here is a must, along with a visit to the working water mill & cafe a few yards down the road for a cuppa and a bite to eat.

Very friendly, professional and helpful service. Cut some fresh chops for us in a jiffy as they had run out of the pre-cut ones. Was really great to see the skill of the butchery in action. Good quality meat.

It is a small family operation, with an excellent choice of local quality meat, helpful and knowledgeable butchers too. I think they have an over fifty year history in Talgarth, a real part of the town.

Old time proper down to earth excellent butchers, who do their utmost to provide delicious high quality meats! You are never rushed and service is always friendly, cheerful and helpful. Meat comes fresh from their own abattoir. Ask for any cut you like and they will provide it from animals raised to the best standards of animal husbandry. An absolute pleasure to visit! Their new deli is filled with the most delicious local products along with others that are not produced locally but well worth getting from afar. Prices are reasonable and people travel quite long distances to shop at George The Butchers in Talgarth, because it is always worth the trip! For a special occasion, they will even do a hog roast for you! Great!!!

A fabulous Deli well worth going out of your way to visit. Incredibly tasty cheeses. I don't want to tell you which one I had in case you go and buy it all!!! Great pies and outstanding gluten free brownies. Top notch.

Excellent Deli and butcher, nothing is too much trouble for the staff they have been a great help through the lock down with our weekly shop, if we want something that is not in stock they try their utmost to get it for us. We are exceptionally pleased with the service we get.
