I went there to attend Mumbai Masala Bollywood Cabaret, but the venue was small and shady. Kudos to the dancers who managed to dance even on a narrow stage. The performers were spectacular. But the problem was, this event was a marketing campaign for Mumbai Masala Restaurant which is about to open and we paid money for it. Also using Cabaret in the banner was misleading because it was purely a Bollywood party. We booked premium seating, and they made us sit in front of the pillar with mirror from where the reflection of light was striking in our eyes. In addition, the restraurent had a huge service tax about which they mentioned somewhere in the footer of menu and that too in small font, which can surely go unnoticed. Can you believe we paid £11 for service tax and our drinks costed £14? We kind of felt cheated. We will never attend any event in this venue again.

We had a fantastic time at Mumbai Masala, it's a small intimate venue which meant that there was pleanty of interaction from the cast. The dancers and the show was spectacular. A real immersive experience.

We went to celebrate a friends 40th birthday and had a blast! I've knocked a star off because the portion size of the food could have been a bit bigger for the price but the food was delicious, the service was fantastic, the staff were really helpful, welcoming and friendly the cocktails were great too.

I'm not sure what everyone is complaining about, the website and the menus clearly stated that there would be an additional service charge and that's standard everywhere.

If you love Bollywood and are up for a great night or afternoon out I'd recommend going to SW Mumbai Masala!

Mumbai masala was a nice event. The dancers were really good (5 stars for the dancers), I enjoyed the most the first and the third bit. The breaks were a bit too long though and the whole show felt a bit too long.

The recommended arriving time (11:30) was way to early, the show started after 12:30 and ended at 15:30 sharp with multiple intervals of course.

The service was poor, our had no training we spent an hour just to get the menu, which arrived without food menu so had to ask again.

Food and drinks were tasty, but they are insanely expensive and way too small portions.

We had an amazing time last night here. The performers were fantastic 10/10 effort & dance. The food was decent and the atmosphere was buzzy. I can easily say it was a unique, fun night out. I took my partner for his birthday as i wanted to do something out of the ordinary for him and he loved every moment of it. Thank you for a great evening! Highly recommend.

Avoid at all costs. This is a rip off. Paid £180 for VIP tickets. Took ages to get served. Cocktails were juice with no alcohol in and all the drinks were watered down. The show was not burlesque and the service charge was disgusting because the service was non existent. By far the worst cabaret I have ever seen. I went to a show at Embankment and it was really good. This is not up to standard and doesn’t even rate a 1 star. Really disappointed.

Such a wonderful evening. Vibrant, entertaining, beautiful and glamorous are just some things I would use to summarise such an authentic evening. The performers were brilliant. Full of energy and put on an amazing show from beginning to end. The food was delicious too. Portion sizes were very reasonable and kept you full but not uncomfortably full which was great especially as its predominantly a sit down evening. Our waiter Rory was fabulous and attentive throughout and he certainly has the moves for a cameo performance in Mumbai masala at some point too ha! I absolutely love the proud family. I've been to multiple events and locations and have never been let down. Consistency throughout can't wait to come to the next event! X

We went for a 40th birthday celebration. Whilst entertainment was brilliant, sadly the food and service was very poor. We attended the drag bingo night, and had pre-ordered our 3 course dinner from a set menu.
When arrived, we were seated at our table which was far to small to fit us all on (even having one of our party absent which we were refused a refund for).
The starters began to arrive, but at all different times so the first two were finished before the next 2 or 3 got theirs. My starter arrived last - which was cold, tasted disgusting and quite frankly was inedible. After complaining about the food quality, food temperature and serving timings, the manager was defensive explaining the kitchen being busy, having two venues to serve and being under staffed. Whilst I appreciate these points, none are the problem of the customer who has paid upfront for the meal.
The main course was a similar situation along with not ever getting the side dishes of veg. What was served throughout the dinner were tiny portions, luke-warm/cold, strange tasting sauces or inedible. We all left hungry.
Such a shame as the performances were fantastic and the atmosphere in the venue was great! Whilst I know the USP isn’t the food, this needs to sorted out along with the service.
If I was to go to one of these again, i’ll skip definitely skip the option of food!

Good entertainment but I just wanted to highlight the rather naughty tactics of this place. We booked tickets for the cabaret £160 altogether. On the night, we ordered two bottles of £30 wine (and felt pushed to order much more). But yes it should have been a £60 bill. However, they calculated the service charge having added back the price of the tickets (as though we were also served the tickets somehow on the night?!). This meant the bill on the night came to £100+ in total!

I wanted to highlight this approach by this establishment because it seemed ever so sneaky, even if the entertainment itself was good fun. I appreciate there are premium prices for premium evenings, but this just felt underhand ultimately.
