Rose Cottage Cafe & Bistro

I dont think I've ever visited the same place to eat two days in a row, but this place is flawless. Great menu ranging around the £10 mark. Fresh, good quality food from a fabulous ham egg and chips, to seafood linguine with lime. The service is friendly and professional.You won't be disappointed. Sit in their beautiful gardens at the back and enjoy this cottage experience. Highly recommend.

Service was a bit slow at times but the staff were very nice.

We had a light lunch and coffee today. A beautiful location with a well laid out interior and lovely garden. The staff were helpful and pleasant. The food was good and reasonably priced.
It's worth adding that we'll be returning.

Friendly staff and great food (although portion sizes were on the smaller side). The service was great but not very quick. There’s a section inside where we sat that still looks like a converted jewellery shop which was a little odd.

Excellent food! BUT veeery slow service (and not particularly apologetic about it)

- we had to wait 45 for our lunch. This reduced our hiking time in the area. Not good.

We called at Rose cottage on a very rainy Saturday afternoon, with our daughter and two of our Granddaughters.
Hot chocolate and 🍰 all-round, not cheap,but you get a good experience,we all enjoyed the visit.

Very comfortable place to eat. Fine selection of food. Pleasant and helpful staff. A very nice place to stop off for food if you're in Castleton.

What a lovely and welcoming place. Rose cottage the food is lovely. Staff are very attentive and very helpful. Anyone who is nice to my dogs gets five stars from me definitely be back!
And excellent prices food was magnificent 👌🏻
