The food was ok, but the service really wasn't great; which is a shame we've been to that place before and really liked it. as a result decided to take my mum there for her birthday meal this afternoon, it turned out to be a bad move

Charming place, full if character. Staff very friendly and flexible. The selection of local cakes and home made cakes is mind blowing, will definitely return for afternoon tea. Only 4 stars as the toilets really let the place down, need an update or deep clean.

Today we arrived at 1130. Sat down to eat some breakfast. Read the menu and it said. Breakfast finish serving 1130hrs. Main start serving 1200hrs. So. For that period of 30mins no food is served. When a waiter of your curly hair person approached us to take our order. We questioned what is available due to menu times. He then gave us a feeble load of rubbish about the chef needing 30 minutes to change cooking menus, and then told us we have to wait till 1200. Or leave and find somewhere else.

I. Love this place been here quite often. Not sure if it was him being lazy or what. But its put me off the place and a warning to everyone to get there before 1130 if you want breakfast only 1131 to order is too late

Lovely place. Always try to visit for lunch when in the area. My favorite is the tartiflette, what a feast! Note the slices of baguette for scale 😱

FYI when we visited in October 2022 we were welcome to bring our dog in. Making sure you reserve a booth table is good if doing this, as the main open area can get quite busy underfoot. Can't wait to visit again 😁

Are we classed as regulars if we only go once a year?? Hope so, as is our regular stop off for late Sunday lunch prior to an annual spa break. Food and service good. Homemade Yorkshire puds! Enjoy the bustle of a busy place and the cakes look amazing! (Resisted so far !!)

Good food , but very expensive for what you get, Sunday lunch was OK. Very small vegetable portion per person , have had better value elsewhere.

Great place, I haven't been for a while, my mistake.
I had to the hot chocolate and waffles with summer fruits and cream. Yum yum

As always the "cheese bath" as I call it was amazing 😍
Staff are always lovely and helpful.
Really nice to have the new covered seating area to dine under. These guys have put a lot of work into reopening and keeping the same atmosphere as they had pre Covid.
Lovely little garden centre attached too.
Please try the French specialities on the menu of you love cheese! Absolutely to die for 😍
