Love this place! We visited while we were staying in Wendover a few years back and came back this weekend and were so happy to see it’s thriving after lockdown. We came in for late lunch on Saturday with no booking and got to sit down immediately even though it was busy. Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options including really delicious vegan cake options too and great specialty coffee. The cakes are all amazing, definitely recommend! They also do a high tea that we saw people enjoying which looks like a feast! Very lovely staff and a beautiful interior as well.veg

A really nice place for brunch of afternoon tea.

It can get busy so definitely worth booking in advance as it's a fairly small place.

Staff are really friendly, food tastes great and if your looking for a slice of cake, you'll be happy with the size of them!

Came for a birthday vegetarian afternoon tea and really enjoyed it. Will definitely be back again soon.

Don't really know how to explain how incredible goo is. We first discovered them two years ago and put it this way; despite living half an hour away, we've returned for the most incredible and best vegan coffee and cake so many times that they now know our order and names.

Goo, we love you.

The best atmosphere in Tring! Booked for lunch as it is always so well stocked with customers. Had a fantastic all day brunch (full goo) and was very envious of those people with room for the slabs of cake on offer! Shall be back for some of the epic cake and coffee ASAP!

Absolutely love coming here. Every time I visit a friend in Aylesbury we always try to pop in for brunch or maybe to get a slice of their absolutely epic cakes. Always look forward to coming. Everyone is so friendly and the food is great.

I’ve always had mixed feelings about Black Goo after not having the greatest experiences with service in there but my latest visit was amazing. I opted for the half good breakfast and every element was perfectly cooked, piping hot and extremely tasty. My baileys hot chocolate was topped with whipped cream and a cadburys flake which I left to melt inside. I wish hot chocolates stayed hot 😂 and I would have liked it to last forever - so nice. My friend had avocado on sliced muffins and poached eggs - it looked so simple and fresh and she devoured it.
The cakes are enormous. Such generous portions for a reasonable price. We booked for a Saturday brunch and it was busy on arrival but quietened down. Tring high street has now a few more businesses in competition of black goo but it’s a staple in Tring that has outlasted many. The owner is friendly and approachable - she welcomes feedback and takes it on board.
Visit for decent food offerings or coffee and cake - it doesn’t disappoint

Popped in for a coffee and cake. The cake was excellent and approximately the size of the Death Star (they let me box half of it to take away). I ended up lost in my work and coffee, so much so that they politely pointed out that the shop had closed 15 minutes earlier and I was the last person left. Oops.
