Delicious food and buzzing atmosphere.

We love the fresh handmade cakes too yo take away and enjoy in the afternoon.

Only thing to note is it is at the top of a cute shop so be prepared to walk a few flights of stairs. I don't mind so much as it makes me feel less guilty about all the cake I always end up buying 😂😂

First visit today. Amazing food! Delicious, massive size portion of cakes, friendly staff and an interesting venue.

Black Goo is on the very top floor of Home & Colonial. (Some signage would be useful to inform people who’ve never visited before.) We pre-booked an afternoon tea for a Sunday afternoon. It is one of the very best we have ever tasted! Absolutely delicious. The scotch eggs and sausage roll are the best! We really loved the sandwiches which included a spiced chickpea one which tasted just like pakoras. Delicious! The scones are huge and the cakes amazing. The other cake selections look amazing. The staff are all very friendly and professional. I would highly recommend the ‘dirty afternoon tea’ which also includes Prosecco. The portions were so big that we ended up taking half of it home in a doggy bag. We will be back for sure!

Beautifully laid out Antiques shop over 4 floors, with a fabulous restaurant on the fifth floor. The food was delicious and staff very helpful and friendly. The only down side was the toilet being on 3rd floor and in need of some attention.

Delicious brunch in a fabulous setting. Three stories up but worth the climb. Highly recommended.

On holiday and found this hidden gem at the top of an antique shop. Lively atmosphere , loved the decor. The staff were so friendly. Wide range of different teas to choose from- we had tea and cake- which was delicious- very generous slices- I couldn’t finish mine! Prices very reasonable.Would highly recommend.

This is our third time visiting black goo and the level or service has significantly dropped. Although the food is lovely it doesn’t warrant the significant wait times. On our visit this morning we had to wait a while for our order to be taken. Then it took 35 minutes to be served our drinks. When our food was finally served we was given dirty cutlery, with no apology when I asked for clean ones. The premium prices doesn’t warrant the quality of food or service. Sadly won’t be returning again.
