An excellent place for a bite and sup half way along a lovely walk. Delicious home made soup. Beautifully cooked bacon in a fresh bap with coffee made a great way-stop. Price wise - this is not a lay-by butty bar- you definitely get what you pay for. Delicious and very recommendable.

Delicious food and huge ‘bottomless’ hot drinks. We had the special cauli soup, bacon butties and Welsh rarebit. Bacon was thick, really good quality and the rarebit really stood out for taste. Such simple ingredients put together to make a really exceptional flavour. Both served on homemade multiseed bread. If you’re in a car it’s only a 3 minute walk down from the Rushup lay-by.

The No Car Cafe was a joy to encounter. Both Jan and Neil were extremely friendly and warm and the ambience was fantastic! I chose to have the oatcakes and was amazed not only at the quality of the food but the speed of the service!

Can't wait to return at the beginning of September for some more good food and excellent service.

Inspired to drop in by the novels of local author Stephen Booth (main character Ben Cooper interviews a suspect who makes a visit), we visit from a walk along Rushup Edge.
1st class all day breakfast and top up coffees.

FANTASTIC CAFE! Stopped here with my son at lunch time nearly fainting with hunger on a long bike ride, amazing full English, perfect toast and marmalade and huge pot of tea! Run by a lovely couple, charming place, really tasty high quality food. Best in the area and good value to boot. Much appreciated, thankyou!!

Great little off-the-beaten path cafe. Good cup of tea and fresh out the oven tea cakes. Makes a nice stop in during a bike ride!

I'm sure this is a lovely cafe but when it is closed, please put a sign out at the top of the lane. Otherwise it's a fair walk downhill to find it closed!

Update: Neil's reply is very useful, and I'll certainly email the authority, because
not being able to when everyone else can is just plain unfair on a small business. Looking forward to coming back when you're open. Might be worth just updating Google as it said you were open. We've heard great things about your cakes! Cheers.
