Popped in for a coffee and a bite to eat. A lovely little cafe to while away some time. Very clean, lovely staff and food was fantastic. Very reasonable price. Highly recommend stopping here if your passing. Probably go back next week

Great service. Staff very friendly and make you feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble. The food was absolutely delicious. I had a jacket potato with tuna and mayonnaise with side salad. The potato was lovely not cooked to death as you most often find. The salad was lovely crunchy and very fresh I also had a decaf cappuccino which was delicious too. It was a thoroughly enjoyable lunch thank you very much for a very pleasing experience all round The Boat house. Well done!!

Vastly improved since new owners took over, the cafe has a lovely cosy feel to it, not like normal cafes. The food is by no means anything special but is of OK standards, its still a greasy spoon cafe with nice furniture and the prices are not great value, they are inflated for what you get. The surroundings are really nice once the landscapers have trimmed the foliage, looks great on a clear blue sky day and still looks and feels great on a rainy day, better with thunder and lightning. The staff are good and friendly, the bar is ok but £5 for a pint of cheap branded lager, this is in a village not a city!
Nothing to do there for adults other than drink alcohol, zero activities for children. This doesn't have a holiday park feel as after all this is exactly what it is, you'll have to travel outside for activities, they occasionally have entertainment, unlike many years ago there'd be something every month. Overall the place is OK and still rather dusty.
I'm surprised that the parking areas have so many commercial vans and do not have mandatory 'reverse parking' for safety as there are children and elderly people around, nothing worse than an idiot reversing out between two vans blindly.

You can buy the food the entire menu from the grocery store for about £20, they charge hipster prices for a bit of bread, it's literally the most basic uneventful food ever and the service is abysmal if you can even call it service. You left feeling like they're doing them a favour for paying £10 for a jacket potato that's cold and tastes like it came out of a school canteen. No frills, except the pricetag. But they're the only place in town and so they exploit that to no end!

We didn’t know about this cafe until we went to meet friends who were staying in the park.
Nice views, food was decent and friendly staff.
Will definitely be going back.

Arrived at 12.30 on remembrance Sunday with six friends to eat.
Was told that chef was on his break and wouldn't be back till 2.00 , could only offer cakes and coffee.
On are way shortly to the New Inn .
