We spent a wonderful morning in the forest hunting fairies today (10/08/18) and looking around the whole site. Then we had tea and cakes in the most interesting tea room I’ve ever been in. The homemade cakes and scones were delicious and so reasonably priced. Wonderful friendly service from the gentlemen serving too. If you took a picnic you could easily spend the day here with young children - they would enjoy the ancient, beautiful forest and also the play areas. Baby changing facilities and disabled toilets available. If you want to go back in time for a short while, this is the place to go.

£18 to walk around the woods. Was very beautiful but only took 5 minutes to do the whole thing and the children got bored. Nice idea but very over priced.

Lovely place to visit for a quiet wander through the forest. It's got an enchanted feel with the roots coming out of the soil and rocks. Far enough for my 2 year old to walk without a pushchair. There's some iron age huts and a tea room with a small play are.

loved our visit today - such natural beauty all the better for not being over developed into a tourist attraction.
