Hatch Cafe

Have been going to the hatch cafe on a monday and thursday for the last few weeks for our lunch break from work and the staff have been very friendly and helpful. The prices are good and we enjoy our coffee and the environment.
However, decided on the off chance to go in on a wednesday and noticed it wasnt the usual girls working.
Unfortunately, our experience this day was not so nice. The staff were very frosty and less welcoming than our previous experiences. Unfortunately this showed as we were the only ones in the cafe at the time on the wednesday and normally we struggle to find a seat.
Being a small buisness, and like other small buisnesses, we imagine they have struggled the last few years and we wanted to support local. Unfortunately, next time we want to go out on a wednesday, we will probably head over the the pub instead...

Lovely friendly café. Slow service but not surprising seeing how tiny the kitchen is.
Good choice of food. This is a community cafe and it certainly serves its community well.vprices really reasonable.

Patient helpful friendly staff, a lovely small cozy cafe with an additional outside seating area that is dog friendly. Good selection of light bites and drinks

Lovely place, coffee and cake was good. Only issue was that it there wasn’t seating left inside, and outside was a bit too cold for November (when I went) so definitely not an option for Dec. More indoor seating, or outdoor heaters would be good

Absolutely love it here. We are able to walk from our house. We ordered a small Hot Choc, a coffee and Chocolate caramel shortbread, was super yummy. Hot choc had mini Marsh mellow and cream. The staff are mainly volenteers. The cafe is situated inside the community centre, they have a toilet. Also the libabry is here.
