This place is under new management and is now called "Churchyard Tea Room"
Quiet and charming cafe, serving delicious home made food. Comfort food at its best.
On a cold rainy day in the middle of summer, I chose the chicken and vegetable soup with fresh bread, I was impressed.

Me and the children ordered lunch as an end of homeschool week treat, lovely food great service 100% will be ordering again. Loved that there were healthy options and we were supporting a local small business. All 3 children want here and not the main chain place we've be used to. Healthy happy fresh and delivered with a smile couldn't ask for more 😁

What a lovely tea room. Ate in there today and the food was delicious as normal. Cakes are amazing too! Staff are really friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend this place to eat.

My wife ordered a take-away ploughman's platter - even came with crusty bread and butter! Lots of variety and all very fresh. Plenty for four to share. Will definitely order again.

What a quaint little place, as the name suggests, by the church. Friendly staff and everything I saw was home made. Cakes were divine and my coronation chicken salad was fresh n tasty. Very reasonable prices too. I'd recommend.

Way too expensive. £4.50 for soup with a piece of bread, almost £4 for salad and £2.40 for toast. This combined with the ugly look of the place makes this a very unpleasant place.

The food is absolutely delicious with decent portions and a good price. I also loved how friendly everyone was! I joined in with their coffee club, where people just meet up to have a chat and a cuppa and met some wonderful people.

Extremely disappointed with both food quality and customer service!
Working within the area, we are extremely keen to support local businesses and for this reason I and my colleagues have been putting in orders almost daily for some time now. We understand the sandwich business is busy and so appreciate the odd slip up on occasions… However, for around 90% of our orders, there has been either issues with the food quality (solid jacket potatoes/very little filling), missing items or additional items charged for but not ordered. I have even paid extra for fillings and received no such thing and have been charged £3.75 and £5.50 for the same sandwich on different days! I have called many times as this is ongoing to be told today by the Manager that we might like to try elsewhere for our daily lunch orders. This was after being hung up on when raising the above issues. In my opinion as a business you should not be turning down repeat business that keeps your company going but should train your staff in food quality standards and customer service. We have not asked anything unreasonable but have brought it to your attention so that you can ensure that people who are spending their hard earned money with you daily are delivered good quality food with good customer service. Perhaps some staff training would help you to retain custom as very disappointed!
